Surprised there’s been so many trades. I don’t see huge drop offs that justify these moves.
I do really like Funchess for the Panthers, he probably would have been gone.
A lot of my favorites just came off the board, really like all 3 of the ILBs that just got drafted, McKinney, Kendricks and Perryman. Love Eric Rowe and am bummed that he won’t be a Bear, I think Kelly was smart to trade up for him.
Still no Randy Gregory. This isn’t about weed or bad decisions, this is about him being painfully slow off the ball to the point of apathy. I figured this would be the kind of thing they can coach out of him, but maybe the coaches at Nebraska aren’t saying good things about him.
The Bears grabbed a possible 5-technique in Eddie Goldman. I think this is a great pick, definitely a position of need and plenty of people had a first round grade on him. I still think that in this draft the value would have been in a DB, ideally Rowe in this scenario, but I can’t complain.
Steelers will shock everyone by taking TE Maxx Williams.
I hope I am kidding.
I have no idea what they are thinking vis-a-vis their secondary. Clearly, they don’t see what I see, which is a porous, old, slow, no-talent group.
I had 49ers’ 2nd Round pick Jaquiski Tartt on my board at around 75 or so, but I didn’t look to closely at safeties. So after some research, I’m encouraged, but the position need just isn’t there. Odd choice unless they plan to move him to corner. He’s certainly better than current backup safety Craig Dahl and the team may have short and long term concerns about Eric Reid and his concussions.
Abdullah. I like the guy, but with his size I’m a bit afraid it might be Jahvid Best part 2. Two good character guys though, I like that trend for the Lions a lot though.
Finally. Wonder if we’ll hear the story on this. If Gregory is a legit 1st round talent, the Cowboy really lucked out because they desperately need pass rush and Rod Marinelli will make him great.
