That was extremely powerful. I haven’t seen the movie but I’m in tears.
Best Original Score.
Ennio Morricone! The Hateful 8
Ennio had not won an Oscar before! (only an honorary one) Bravo! Maestro!
ENNIO MORRICONE!!! Best living film scorer!! Thank you film scoring gods and goddesses!!
Ecco il MORRICONE!
Best Song:
James Bond gets some.
Writing’s on the Wall. Spectre
Gotta say, after hearing the Gaga song and knowing what it was about, I don’t like this one
I’m glad to see another Bond theme take home the statue (Lord knows, it was one of the better things about the rather blah Spectre), but after hearing the Gaga song, I was kind of rooting for that one.
I knew Sam would congratulate Gaga. He’s a sweetie.
Is everyone else getting all these Samsung phone commercials?
Best Director.
Alejandro G Inarritu.
The Revenant.
Alejandro González Iñárritu wins Best Director, could this be a hint for the Best Picture winner?
I love that Iñárritu outlasted the “play him off” music cue.
I wish they’d have mentioned her work in “Ex-Machina” when Alicia Vikander won her award.
Yeah, and there was not one musician in that orchestra willing to play Ennio Morricone off.
Wow, 2 in a row, the Mexican director did win it also for directing Birdman last year.
Suck on that Trump!
Best Actress:
BRIE LARSON
Room
Congrats for Brie Larson on her award for her excellent performance!
Though the biggest Oscar snub this year wasn’t based on race, IMO, it was age. Jacob Tremblay deserved a nom. Damn he was amazing in “Room”!
I keep up pretty well with films but I have never heard of that Jennifer Lawrence movie.
Thank God–respect and common sense prevail.
Best Actor:
Leonardo DiCaprio (I actually did type this one Early)
See that Leo? Stay off sinking boats and Wall Street, just get mauled by a bear.
