2016 Super Bowl

I don’t see how in the world you can call this “crybaby”. He seems perfectly calm and reasonable to me, and what he says makes sense. You, on the other hand, seem to have some kind of bug up your ass when it comes to sports that makes you view things in a really odd way.

What a pussy and crybaby Newton is. Hopefully this will take him out of his game and I’ll get what I want, 28-24 Broncos, instead of what I think should happen, 31-10 Panthers. I want Manning to go out a winner. At his old age, Manning needs to bring his A+++ game to win and not make crucial mistakes he’s been doing in recent years.

More betting $$$ on the Broncos. The line has moved down a little, to Panthers -5.5.

“Golly?”

Does anyone here speak jive?

I think it’s a drug dealing reference. Something that only true thugs say.

Last 3 times there was a line, it favored the ultimate loser. Green Bay was the last team to cover.

I wonder if that’s largely due to there being more Broncos fans in general, and certainly more of them closer to Vegas. I would have thought the Panthers would be solid 7 point favorites.

I think I got all the score predictions in this thread. The average is Panthers by 8 1/2.

Except when that clown Cam Newton gets knocked on his ass 6 times by the Cardinals, I mean Broncos, defense. then I will laugh and laugh and… stare into the empty room in front of me… and laugh… and weep quietly.

I feel the same way about the Panthers steamrolling the Broncos as I did about the Patriots crushing the Broncos. Based on that, if I were to bet money I’d take the Broncos and the points, fully expecting the Broncos to win outright.

The average spread for the three finalists in the early pick thread average Panthers by 5.333

You’re right, I talked smack before the NFC championship and my Cardinals got their
ass kicked. Still, one of the reasons I love sports is that there are real life heroes and villains. I see Cam Newton as even worse than the Seahawks Wilson/Sherman/Lynch combo of annoying football players.

You’ve got to be kidding. You view sports players as heroes and villains? I wish I could take that a joke, but actually it explains a lot about your sports posts.

I’m thinking this is Peyton Manning’s last game (last Rodeo he calls it).

I’m going with Denver by three points over the Panthers …

something like 31-28

Tickets are selling for over $5,000 with the TV on air for the Super Bowl commercials going for $5 million dollars.

I wonder what ten years from now will be in 2026?

Well, some are. But prices are down a bit, and it looks to be meaningfully cheaper than last year’s event.

It may be in the neighborhood of 70 degrees in Santa Clara on Sunday.

I don’t get the Newton hate. I am a Broncos fan, but I really like him. I like how he seems to call the plays in slow motion. I think he is a FANTASTIC PLAYER. If the fates deem the Broncos are doomed to lose, I would want it to be to the Panthers, they are my 2nd favorite team this year. I do want to see him get knocked on his ass, but as part of the game, not personally. However he handles that onslaught will be fun for me to watch. Will he escape? Or is the Broncos defense simply too overwhelming? Don’t know!

I can’t say I watched every Panthers game this year. But Newton and the Panthers have looked like a great team every time I have watched them over the last few years. It’s a set-up for a great game.

Hilarious.

Newton pointed out what everyone with more than three functioning neurons already knows: that most sports reporters get paid to ask repetitive and/or stupid questions that tell us nothing about the sport itself, and that put the athletes in the position of either repeating the same pointless and content-free answers over and over again, or being labeled prima donnas by members of the public who apparently believe that the athletes are dancing puppets with an obligation to move whenever their strings are pulled.

Newton just pointed out the emperor’s lack of football uniform. And you need to get a sense of perspective.

LOL.

I have no real dog in the Superbowl fight. It was the same in last week’s Championship game. But, just like after that Championship game, if the Panthers win i’ll stop for just about half a second and take a little bit of pleasure thinking about your reaction.

Heroes and villains? LOL again. You funny.

All the guys you hate irrationally, for apparently harmless and minor issues of personality, seem to have something in common. Can’t quite put my finger on it right now. Maybe it’ll come to me later.

He’s black.

I wish I was kidding, but I am not. Black athletes simply are not treated the same as white athletes.

If Cam Newton was white he wouldn’t get eighty percent of the shit he does.

Mark Gastineau is white. I did not care for his sack dance. There’s nothing racial about that.

But then again I am not white. I am Pacific Islander / Russian, so you might think there is.
