I just stumbled across this list and had a couple of questions.

  1. How’d you settle on “4+” for the definition of “mass killing”? Why not 3+ or 5+?

  2. arson?

At what point do you decide to include or exclude a story like this (where we find out after the fact that it may be arson, but don’t appear to have confirmation yet)? For example, would this item get dropped from the list if the investigators came back with a statement along the lines of “we questioned an individual, but he has an alibi, and we’re not sure who/what started the fire”?

P.S. I hope these don’t come across as hostile, I’m just trying to understand the choices you’re making for this list.

Since this thread started I’ve found it repulsive. I checked it just now because I figured the Topeka shooting(I live in Topeka) would be listed here, and sure enough it is.

I suppose the OP is trying to make some kind of a point, He seems to have a morbid fascination with “mass” killings. I wish he woul not keep having the sadness of deaths like this one, and those past, keep popping up
