I can’t believe the Hawaii 5-0 reboot has been on this long. I jumped off season two when the plot went off the rails.
You lost me here. I thought a remake was re-using the same concept with a new cast, while a reboot was what Roseanne and Murphy Brown are doing. Charmed has no ties to the original (mediocre) show, as far as I’ve heard.

There actually might be some distinction. A remake indicates you are basically going to retell the same story. A reboot suggests starting over with the same initial premise but new stories. E.g., DC reboots but generally doesn’t remake.
Roseanne, Murphy Brown, etc. are considered revivals/returns.
