When do folks consider thier bracket “busted”?
As soon as they have a wrong prediction (this seems a bit extreme)
When they can no longer have any predictions right? (e.g. none of your final 4 are still in the tournament)
When your choice of winner is eliminated?
Something else?
We’re not reviving this thread for the Final Four? Sister Jean says “for shame!”.
Loyola currently leading Michigan at the half by seven. It’s been a great defensive game so far, and a great inside the paint game. Nobody is able to rain threes (yet).
But they started putting it on TruTV and all kinds of wacky stuff like that. I’m a cord cutter and used to getting mainstream sporting events for free. Not going to waste my time and 10-20% of my condo fees to keep up with college ball - especially now that we’ve exposed that the amateur label is a misnomer.
It’s a national broadcast on lowly TBS, but I guess if you don’t have basic cable or satellite you can’t see it. You missed a good Loyola v Michigan game, but so far you aren’t missing much in the next game, and neither is Villanova.
I think the outcome is predictable, but I hope I am wrong. If somehow Kansas can overcome themselves and the 50% 3’s dry up for Villanova, then they have a chance but they’re down big right now.
I don’t see anyone stopping Villanova though, especially not Michigan.
On Friday there were 8 possibly ways for the tournament to go. I would come in first (in my work pool) in 4 out of the 5 scenarios. (and second in another)
Since I picked Kansas I’m guessing I’m not going to win (I don’t remember who else I picked in the final)
The nice thing about the work pool is that besides 1st, 2nd, and 3rd there are prizes for 22nd, 37th, and 45th (not exact) Unfortunately I don’t hit any of the prize numbers other than 1st or 2nd
Villanova looks utterly unstoppable right now, and I have my doubts that Michigan can beat them. They’ve gutted out a lot of their tournament games in narrow wins, but Villanova is crushing teams.
Still, anyone can have a bad game so that’s why they play them. I just hate it when championship games are anti-climactic.
It’s not that I’m too much of a tight ass to go watch at a bar and I think it’s still on Twitter streaming, but I don’t care. I used to take half of the first Thursday off to go watch at a bar - money’s not the issue. It’s the scheming of greedy execs that turns me off, not just in college basketball but all sports pretty much. Sure, this year it’ll be available on a Twitter stream, but maybe not next year or the year after. And whose idea was it to put NCAA basketball on the same channel that shows murder documentaries? The media and sports execs are just trying to figure out how far they can screw the lifelong sports fan before they stop tuning in.
