2022 SDMB Celebrity Death Pool

Yes, and the next 2 reported deaths also show hat-wearers! A streak of 5 hats.

Looking for an official link, but apparently Tony Dow has died at 77. His family had announced he had cancer in May.

“Gee, Wally…”

TMZ is reporting it, and they usually have a good track record on breaking celebrity death news.

Nobody should collect those 23 Tony Dow points just yet.
Update: he’s not quite dead.

Actor/director William Richert, who did some thing or another, called it a wrap last week at around 20pts, or so.

Vincent Derosa, French Horn virtuoso who played backup for various artists, was first chair on numerous movie soundtracks, and about whom John Williams said “I can honestly say that what I know about writing for the French horn, I learned from him.”

So Tony Dow is near death, could come shortly. How close is he to his next birthday? This could sway some points.

Looks like it’s official:

Such a loss.

Paul Coker, Jr. dead at age 93.
