If you mean Hogan’s Heroes, it was all about ridiculing the Nazis. The major German characters on the show were all played by German Jews who got out of Germany before things went to hell for Jews. Assuming the story isn’t apocryphal, Werner Klemperer only agreed to play Klink after being assured that Klink would never, ever win.
