And back in the Buckeye State:
Finkenauer back on the primary ballot in Iowa. Unanimous decision by Iowa Supreme Court.
Here is the Iowa Supreme Court decision (almost all were appointed by Republican governors):

And all for not – Trump has officially endorsed JD Vance in Ohio. Not surprising at all, Trump is a complete starfucker so of course he was going to back the closest thing to a celebrity in the race (after Vance had made the necessary prostrations).
President Starfucker.
If that god-awfulness gets back in in '24, might go with that - nice, glammy feel.
Disgraced Trump EPA Administrator Scott Pruit is running in the OK Senate special election to fill the remainder of retiring Senator Jim Inhofe’s term.
Anyone who doesn’t live in Ohio is missing a great show.
Watching that shit-stain Gibbons duke it out with Mandel has to be the most insulting load of only-in-slow-motion campaign addery i have ever witnessed.
And they all equate Timkin to Pelosi, which is mysogynistic, at best.
Last week, my wife and I were having a lazy day, and decided to play a drinking game where we took a drink every time someone blew a dog whistle in an ad. (Including Tim Ryan and his “China, China, China” dipshittery…)
I woke up two days later.
Since I’ve been accused of being “defeatist” elsewhere in regard to Democrat’s chances in the mid-terms, I’ll post some good news: the latest quarterly FEC filings show that vulnerable incumbent Democratic Senators in GA, AZ, NV and NH have built up massive campaign chests. Rafael Warnock, probably the single most endangered incumbent Senator, had $25.6M cash on hand compared to $7.4M for his likely Republican opponent. And Democratic challengers in FL and the open NC seat reported strong fundraising as well.
Money isn’t everything in a campaign (just ask Jaime Harrison, Amy McGrath and Sara Gideon) but weak fundraising can become a self-perpetuating cycle as supporters flee a seemingly doomed candidate. Democrats will have the money to compete – we’ll see what they can do with it.
Hopefully Warnock gets re-elected. I think if he does he will be on the White House ticket one way or another in the next ten years.
I hope so, and could be, respectively. That said, I have to roll my eyes just a little when I see him described in his campaign literature as “Sen. Rev. Warnock.” Seems a bit much.
Why don’t people protest in the streets demanding that the Senators and Representatives who were complicit in 1/6 be removed?
Wow, Fetterman had a horrible performance in the primary debate.
‘I know it when I see it’ is worse than Elizabeth Warren’s evasive responses about paying for M4A.
As well as a very bad response to the question he knew was coming about the jogger.
The only one who can win PA is Lamb. Fetterman has a stubborn commanding lead in polls, but I’m hoping he gets knocked down.
Forgive me if I don’t take your word for it.
A new poll has J.D. Vance taking the lead in the Ohio Republican U.S. Senate race over Josh Mandel, who as we’ve seen, is considered by Donald Trump too creepy to support. Vance would be a shoo-in for the Appalachian vote - not.
I couldn’t find a recent poll on the Democratic side, so maybe Tim Ryan is still in the lead. This is probably a good thing, as his challengers have been making winceable statements, like the one who promises to help in “upskilling” workers and declares that as far as business interests go, “money is oxygen”.
Too bad I don’t still live in Ohio so I could vote for the best of the worst, as in the G.O.P. Presidential primary in 2016.
My guess is that many of the conspirators represent states/districts that are red enough that their constituents actively favored the insurrection and are thrilled that their rep/senator was involved.
More on the Ohio race:
Interesting polling in the Ohio Republican primary, with one poll showing state Senator Matt Dolan enjoying a late surge that puts him tied for first place with JD Vance. While just as conservative as the rest of these dolts, the things that separates Dolan is he’s the one candidate who hasn’t been willing to kowtow to Trump on the 2020 election lie.
Probably still Vance’s primary to lose, but with a fractured field it could be interesting.
Yes, indeed. It probably doesn’t help that Trump can’t quite remember who he endorsed.
If I were Mandel (which, thank God, I’m not), I’d rush out an ad saying TRUMP ENDORSES MANDEL.
And for Buckeye Democrats:
