That’s a funny way of saying it. Harris’ version was (unfortunately) a major hit here in the U.S. in 1968, reaching #2 on the Billboard chart, predating disco by several years, and predating Donna Summer’s disco version by a decade.

So will she be replaced by a Democrat? I don’t get why she stayed on, but she must have had her reasons.
I’m reasonably sure that Gavin Newsom will name a democrat as her successor. My money is on Adam Schiff.
