2024 NBA Playoffs

UGH. Pacers blew an 18-point lead and lost by 3. Now we’re down 3-0 in the series, which no NBA team has ever come back from.

Sorry, @ekedolphin.

The Celtics are rolling!

The Pacers lost that game?? I lost interest and switched it off.

Another blown big lead in these playoffs?
Maybe teams should try to fall behind early, and stay behind through the middle of the third quarter!

Welcome to my hell.

And they still had an 8-point lead with 2:38 to play. They scored two free throws in the remaining time.

Pretty agonizing to watch. By all accounts and logic, Pacers ought to be up 2-1 in the series thus far.

At halftime, it’s a miracle that it’s as close as it is. Towns is throwing up brick after brick (when he’s not busy kneeing another player) and the offense looks confused. They’ve cut the lead to six in the third. . .oops, now it’s nine.

I went to sleep thinking we were toast (I’m in “Greater” Boston). Was shocked as hell when I woke up early to watch the French Open tennis and saw that the Cs has come all the way back to win it.

Both Conference Championship series are at 3-0. I don’t think either series feels that lopsided.

I know. But for some bad luck and no small amount of choking, the Pacers could be up 2-1.

But no denying, we’re losing to the better team.

And the Mavs are looking like a formidable opponent in the finals.

Probably still an underdog against Boston, but if they can complete the sweep against Minnesota, they’ll get a bit of time to let Doncic’s knee rest, although Lively’s neck sprain may take a long time. Without Lively, the Mavs will lose their rebounding advantage.

Mavs very easily could/should be 0-3, especially considering they trailed by eighteen points in Game Two.

A simple case of choke for the Wolves in every instance. That and the Mavs have what are arguably the best closers in the game in Doncic and Irving. KAT has to be one of the more overrated players in the NBA. I’m pretty sure he hit zero of his threes last night, and his habit of trying to force his way to the basket and then turning over the ball is really annoying. Why the team strayed from their winning strategy in this series is beyond me. Instead of being on their way to the finals, they’re now toast.

Edwards showing where those MJ comparisons are coming from.

Oh, he’s got the moves, but he completely fell apart in this series. Perhaps it’s just his youth and playoff inexperience, but he needs to suck it up if he wants to be a “legend”.

Long rest for the Cs, more time for Porzingas to heal up. Hopefully the T-Wolves win a game or two and keep the Mavs working.

Watched part of the 3rd Q for the Pacers-Celtics. Looked like it could go either way. They were playing some hard ball and the refs were cutting them some slack, so it was fun to watch. I see this morning that the Pacers are out of it, losing by three. We’ll see if the Timbermutts will be in the same boat after tonight.

If Dallas wins tonight, it will mark the first time in NBA history that both conference title series ended in a sweep in the same season.
