You mean Flowers is pushing up daisies?
Flowers is taking a dirt nap.
mmm
Flowers has been planted.
Kitten Mitten helped me out again. And after more digging I think this is the definitive list so far. And by saying that some difference is sure to pop up again.

Well, I’m still in Shannen Doherty place.
90,210th place?
Here’s one we missed:
Betty A. Bridges, actress (NYPD Blue, ER, Good Times) and mother of actor Todd Bridges, died August 27 at the age of 83.
I just realized that Todd Bridges is the only surviving main cast member of Diff’rent Strokes. Gary Coleman, Dana Plato, Conrad Bain all preceded him.
Whew. I’m relieved I’ve held on to my solid 73rd place! At least I’m one above @Czarcasm (alphabetically).
Nobody ever remembers Danny Cooksey.
He wasn’t what I considered part of the main cast, because he wasn’t there when the show premiered.
I may not have phrased it correctly, but I was referring to the main cast from the time the show started.
I am considering putting out an Honorable Mention Award next year, for the player with the highest number calculated by their points divided by number of picks won. For example, this year the player currently in the lead for that would be RTFirefly, at 52.5 They have four choices totaling 210 points.
Think this would be acceptable?
I have no problem with that.
You would currently be at 33.
The point of this is to find the youngest people you can who have a good chance of passing.
I would find it OK: it is coherent with the aim of the game, but it is a bit redundant in the sense that you should aim for the youngest people anyway if you want to score as many points as possible. And it would be possible to win that award with a single correct pick. My points this year so far come from Shannen Doherty and Franz Beckenbauer. Had I not chosen Beckenbauer, I think Doherty on her own would put me very close to the top of that award. In fact, I would be tied with 28 others who right now beat me because Beckenbauer pulls my average down!
I think this year’s RTFirefly high score with fout picks, all very young, is unusual (and kudos to them!). Mostly this award would be won by someone picking only a few candidates, often only one. And that is covered by the “Robbing the Cradle” Award.
Speaking about numbers: have you ever calculated what the maximum amount of total points would be if every candidate of every player died, how many points would have been scored in total? Just to compare that with the points actually scored, which would have to include the players with no score at all.
That would probably have to be done at the end of the year, so as to get the maximum points for each candidate, including those who may have a birthday on 12/31.
Before I vote, exactly how many dozen cookies are we talking about for the winner of this?
- I don’t want you over-taxed in the kitchen.
- The amount has to make it worth my while.
- The frenzied recalculations by the last minute entrants might result in nervous breakdowns or cause the SDMB servers to explode.
I am aware that it would be a burdensome and tedious calculation: I (like the others) submitted a list with names, not with ages, neither at the beginning nor at the end of the year. And for the deceased candidates, they may have died before or after their respective birthdays. Lots of work to do and many potential mistakes.
Still, if the data were available, I’d be interested.
Actually, in thinking about it, the calculation should be done early in the year, BEFORE any candidate dies. Then, for maximum points, one would assume that all candidates would die on 12/31, so as to get the most points for each candidate.
If all entries would add the year of birth to each candidate, that would be a good start. (For somebody to calculate, not me!)
Who was the celeb who apparently gave a whopping 28 Dopers 47 points each?
