That stubborn Georgian is keeping me 1 point shy of triple digits.

Just you stay where we can see you for the next week, mister…
I want him to live long enough to Vote Kamala Harris. Though I would also love for him to vote for her re-election…

Damn, she was just a year too young to make my list this year!
Dammit. I finally get my second points of the year, my first sort of semi-unique pick. Do I score with Moscow Mitch? The Cheetoh-Faced Shit Gibbon? Young Thug? No. We lose Professor McGonagall, instead.
Funnily, Dark Arts professors have had the best chance to still be alive, excluding Snape…who mainly taught Potions.
Harry Potter Teacher Actor status for interest:
McGonagall: Dead
Dumbledores: Both dead
Snape: Dead
Flitwick: Alive
Hagrid: Dead
Trelawney: Alive
Sprout: Alive
Just the Dark Arts 1-year folks:
Quirrell: Alive
Lockhart: Alive
Lupin: Alive
Umbridge: Alive
Mad Eye: Alive and so was his polyjuice actor
Slughorn: Alive
All Dark Arts teachers alive except Snape.
Did I miss any common teachers that weren’t just background?
Except, Aberforth is still around. And so is Argus, how could you forget Argus.
She was on my list last year. For some reason I took her off it. Darn it!
I first saw her in The Prime Of Miss Jean Brodie. I can’t remember any of it but I do remember I really liked it.
Sirius Black, but not sure he was ever a teacher. [Alive = Gary Oldman]
Nope, not a teacher. But yes, he’s alive as well. I will add:
Argus Filch: alive
Well, if you are including teacher-types, Headmistress Maxime is 80, and Headmaster Karkarov is 62. I think she was in two movies but he was only in the one.
Barty Crouch - dead
Not a teacher, but ran the Triwizard Tournament.
There has been a question asked over in the themed list that I want to ask regular players here what they think of it.
Someone asked if an alternate moves up if a pick dies. I don’t think that has been done here, or if the issue has risen before. I don’t think I’m for it, because some players don’t check their lists to see if regular picks, much less alternates, have passed, And it could get complicated as to which alternate filled the gap. But if enough players like the idea, and we could figure out a foolproof way to do it, I’d go along with it.
It seems wrong inasmuch as some of us wait until the end of your birthday and only submit 13 picks. That is the DP standard: 13 picks (which limits the maximum possible score to 1,066 points, which no one have ever come close to). Alternates are only there to take the place of people who die before the game starts – if we were to promote alternates during the game, would it even make sense to limit it to 3? I too am not in favor of promoting alternates after the first of the year.
If I understand this correctly…one of my picks dies, and I score those points. At that point, one of my alternates moves up, and I still have 13 picks alive?
We have never done that, once the game is underway.
Here is where the logical problem arises: one of my alternates dies, but I don’t get those points because none of the 13 have died; then one of my picks dies – should the dead alternate then be promoted, retroactively awarding me those points?
