2026 Celebrity Death Pool

And there was a time when I was glad he walked the Earth.

JohnT, University of Georgia, class of '85.

The author of what’s widely considered the first underground comic book, “The Adventures of Jesus”, has not been resurrected.

I hear ya, bro.

Kent Clark, University of Missouri class of '74.

Bodybuilding legend Albert Beckles has flexed his last muscles, dying at 95 years old. A contemporary of Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1970s (he’s actually about 17 years older) he competed for decades, and won a bodybuilding contest at age 60, in 1991!

I like the fact that he shows that guys who lift serous weights all their lives (and likely used steroids in the pursuit) can also live a long time.

And he never saw his picture on the cover of the Rolling Stone. (Though, there was a caricature of the band on the cover in 1973.)

Okay, for us whippersnappers, please elaborate.

I know he’s not the guy with the eyepatch. Listening to Cover of the Rolling Stone, is Dennis the guy who sang the verse about Cocaine Katie, or is he the guy with the really deep voice who says, “that sounds like us?”

I’d need to check bu I am sure I have had Scott Hastings on my list in the past.

Looks like the worst serial killer of our time may be close to giving Loach 23 unique points.

He is up there, but Carlos The Jackal is still alive.

That was distressingly quick. She passed away on May 15.

Tom Kane, who voiced Yoda in the Clone Wars TV series, is one with the Force:

Brian

James Robison, the "avenging angel of the religious right” has preached his last fire and brimstone sermon. Age 82.

He was one of the original men who helped form the alliance between the GOP and evangelistic Christianity. I wasn’t sad to read of his passing.

Mark Fuhrman, one of the key witnesses in the OJ trial, died on May 12. He was 76.

From what I understand, the only part he sings in that song is the opening line: “Hey, sugar! Tell 'em who we are.”

(On a side note, that song was released about 4 years before I was born.)

G. Robert Blakey, the architect of RICO statute, is dead at 90.

Watching this video of them performing, it appears that he says a few things towards the beginning. I think he’s the guy that says “that sounds like us,” and “right” before the first chorus, which he also sings. And if so, I think that makes him the guy who says at the end, “I can see it now…we’d be on the front, smilin’…beautiful.”

I think that’s the same guy. With some of the shots, it’s hard to tell with 100% certainty.

Dunno about TCoRS, but he sang lead on “When You’re In Love With a Beautiful Woman”.

Barney Frank has died.

I really don’t want to know what his Republican colleagues are saying right now.
