2026 Celebrity Death Pool

I (and the facts) agree-I was just explaining where the confusion likely came from.

Update on this:

It’s been said that a back injury exacerbated an existing medical condition kept private.

As that article states, at least one person online is saying that she had bone cancer.

Also, it’s been revealed this month that actress Ann Robinson died in September of 2025. She appeared in the first War of the Worlds film in 1953.

Manny Fernandez, a professional football player who was part of the Miami Dolphins “no name defense” of the early 1970s, has died at age 79.

It was indeed where the confusion came from. Especially since the AI blurb that came up when I searched was itself confused by the two names, and then I went to the wikipedia page of the guy the AI blurb claimed was the guy with Rob Base and found he was still alive. (Granted, I probably should have read the full page and I would have realized the error since Rob Base isn’t mentioned at all.)

Another post of concern for @Baker. Anyone have any inside knowledge on if she’s okay? It’s been weeks…

Just to note the passing of eminent music theorist Carl Schachter at the age of 93. His textbook (with Felix Salzer) Counterpoint in Composition was the standard for all music students when I was at college.

It hasn’t hit the media yet (and probably won’t) but Juilliard and others in the music theory community have reported it.

I’m concerned too. I hope she’s just the right kinds of busy with real life.

That sucks. A childhood friend of mine was a huge Braves fan back in the 80s, while I was/am a Cub fan. Despite us living in Indiana, we argued about our allegiances nonstop.

She’s been sighted in the postcard exchange thread.

Well that’s good

Jools Topp, of Aotearoa New Zealand’s beloved country music comedy duo The Topp Twins, has succumbed to cancer, aged 68.

I am pretty sure I saw them perform live at an open air show. I also once saw them cycle past me on a tandem dressed as their characters Camp Leader and Camp Mother.

He was part of their great 1972 perfect season team that would win back-to-back Super Bowls (VII and VIII) and on the first ever team to appear in 3 consecutive Super Bowls (they lost VI).

Oh no — I hope she is okay.

According to her profile, she posted 1 day ago.

I’m thinking she may just need a bit of a breather before wading back into the minutiae and detail of this thread.

The wonders of AI.

For an extra $.75, he can be buried in a coffin double the size of the one he’s currently occupying.

As a New Jersey Devils fan this really sucks. Way too young.
