Bonnie Tyler has come out of her coma a month later, though reports say she’s still “very unwell.”
I’d never heard of this guy, but honestly, his death comes as no surprise.

She wasn’t Alf’s mom. She was Lyn and Brian’s mom on the show ALF. Alf himself (real name Gordon Shumway) was a freeloader living in their garage.
Huh.
Somehow, I misremembered his name as ‘Gordon Sumner’. I was convinced the ALF character had been named after Sting for reasons unknown.
RIP ALF’s landlady.

Corey Feldman has been hospitalized after suffering a medical emergency on a flight from Chicago to Las Angeles.
Initial speculation was pancreatitis or gallstones. Gallstones have since been ruled out.
Comedian Tom Dreesen’s children have apparently posted on Facebook that he has died. No confirmation of this from any news media that I could find.

He’s no longer feeling stronger every day.
Dreesen was often on David Letterman, and I always thought the only reason was that Dave felt he owed an old friend a favor, because IMHO Dreesen was never very funny or entertaining. He usually told some mildly amusing story about Frank Sinatra, as if to show off that they had been pals.
He may have been a wonderful guy, and even a good comedian, but you wouldn’t know it if (like me) all you saw were his Letterman appearances.
He was definitely from a different era of comedy although he was on the young side of that era. He was in the transition from the Joey Bishop/Shecky Green era to more modern comedy. I think Letterman liked Dreesen for that and because Johnny liked him and had him on a lot. I didn’t find him very funny either on the couch or doing his act.
Of note is the fact that he was part of one of the first interracial comedy duos with Tim Reid as his partner.
