I’ve had Richard O’Sullivan on my list 18 times from 2007 to now, missing only 2009 and 2014. Not only has he passed away on the literal eve of my 50th birthday, but he’s my sixth for the year - the most I’ve ever achieved in the 25 years I’ve played.
In honour of my commitment to the bit, I demand 1 point for every year I played him.
You complain, last year I picked a guy who was born on February 29th and should have gotten 77 points for him, since he only had 23 birthdays, but I only got 7 – I was cheated out of 70 points.

Toyohiro Akiyama died on August 26. Japanese journalist who traveled to space and did reporting from the Mir space station.
Was 84 years old, which is impressive since he smoked 4 packs of cigarrettes a day. He stopped smoking to train for space, but when asked what he looked forward to upon returning to Earth, he said smoking was what he most looked forward to.
He was ill the entire time in space and had a terrible time.
First Japanese person in space, too.

Barry Melrose, current ESPN commentator and former NHL Hockey Player and Coach has died at age 70.
I’m not a hockey fan in any way, shape, or form, but Melrose always struck as a very cool and knowledgeable guy. The sort you’d like to have a beer with and just pick his brain.
