I watched some video of him, he is a scary player. He looks like one of those guys on the defense that is in the right place at the right time to make plays. That’s exactly what you want in a safety.
A lot of DLs coming off the board in the first 10 picks. Not ideal for the Bears needs, but good for my wish list.
The Bears meatballs were frothing at the mouth for Jacob Rodriguez, so I’m very happy that the Dolphins nabbed him and spared us from the disappointment. We have Jack Sanborn at home.
Edit: I really like the Cashius Howell pick for the Bengals. I think his tape was nearly as good as Bailey.
Last 5 picks have been…
Edge Rusher - Edge Rusher - Defensive Tackle - Line Backer - Edge Rusher
Sheesh!
The Ravens quietly putting together a great draft. Nothing fancy, but I really like what they are doing.
Young was a guy mocked to the Bears a bunch at 25 and I think he’s a great value here. Will Gabe Jacas still be on the board when the Bears are on the clock?
Since I posted this, it went:
Edge Rusher - Line Backer

(I know an LB isn’t a defensive lineman, but sometimes they will play like one.)
Lots of talent left for the Packers, especially at CB (MCoy’s medical info must be bad). Ponds, Cisse, or Pregnon would make me very happy.
And there goes Ponds…
Cisse it is. Fair value at a position of need.
Now to go watch actual gametape…
Is it just me or is there a lot more crying in the draft than in past years?
They’re in Pittsburgh. It’s just the smoke from all the food being grilled.
Gen Z draft.
I wonder if the Bears will roll the dice with McCoy. CB isn’t a top need, but at some point the value has to offset the medical.
Edit: Damn. There goes Jacas.
Edit2: Very happy to see Grenard leaving the NFCN.
Bears on the clock. I want Malachi Fields. Would be happy with a gamble on McCoy with one of these picks. The DL options at this point all suck.
Whoa. Did not expect to grab a Center here but I love the pick. Huge need and I love the idea of Caleb developing with a young Center for the next 10 years. Jones is the best Center in the country so I love the fit here.
Plenty of big bodied WRs available for this next pick. I want one of them.
Edit: Well crap, looks like we traded back 9 spots with the Titans. Got a 5th round pick in exchange. If we can still get Fields, Brazzell ot Sarratt in the 3rd I’ll be quite pleased.
Cardinals draft QB Carson Beck, which is what I thought they’d do if they were smart.
Surprised they were smart.
Bears: Sam Roush - TE
That is a strange choice. Love the player (but maybe not this early), however I don’t think we’re going to get the value from him with 2 premium TEs already on the roster. BJ must be planning some crazy 13 personnel packages. Poles is going to get absolutely killed for this pick.
For the record, here’s Ryan Poles record drafting in the 3rd round.
2022 - Velus Jones Jr.
2023 - Zacch Pickens
2024 - Kiran Amegadjie
2025 - Traded
Yikes.
Can someone explain the Panthers-Vikings trade? Panthers moved up from 51 to 49. They also got 159 for 196. How does that make sense for the Vikings?
Panthers get: Nos. 49, 196
Vikings get: Nos. 51, 159
Makes sense to me. Panthers move up two spots in round 2. Vikings upgrade a 6th round pick to a 5th rounder.
Ah, yes. I was paying attention to nfl.com and they have this. I should have
Panthers receive:
-
2026 second-round pick (No. 49) – NT Lee Hunter
-
2026 fifth-round pick (No. 159)
Vikings receive:
-
2026 second-round pick (No. 51) – LB Jake Golday
-
2026 sixth-round pick (No. 196)
Okay, I’m becoming obsessed with the Ravens draft. Just putting on a clinic.
There were at least 5 better WR than Lane, and while Zion Young has a ton of upside, how stupid do you have to be to get a DUI 4 months before the draft.
To each their own.
