Happy what is left of the long weekend to everyone.
I spent my day with many kindred spirits at the capital. It seems as though folks have many different reasons for being there, but everyone agreed on the main part. There were many thoughts and prayers for trumps health.
The weather was lovely, but a little warm in the afternoon. Currently it’s around 72F and I’m watching the hummers do their evening tank up.
Din was ham and bean soup served with sliced tomatoes. I suggested corn bread but he didn’t want the carbs. I had half of a ciabatta roll instead.
For some reason pool noodles were not the first thing that came to mind. Or even the second. At least one of us needs to get their mind out of the gutter.
I’m learning to love ciders, I had no idea about the variety available, they weren’t a thing in AZ.
I walked to elementary school after I was in the third grade. I was still able to take the bus, that was when Mom said I was old enough to walk so I did. Then I got a bike and the world was mine!
I went back to riding the bus in high school because riding my ten speed messed up my make-up and hair.
That really sucks, I hope you can be seen soonist.
Thank you for getting out there. Please tell the Mrs I said Thank You to her as well.
I am SO happy that this is working out for you. Is there a possibility that a very good dog might be able to hang out at work with you sometime in the future?
I used to work at a library. People (mostly older women) would write their names on the back flyleaf of their bodice rippers so they would know if they had already read it or not. There wasn’t any other way to tell the difference.
I think it would be better to be remembered for one or two good books than forgotten as soon as the many books were finished.
Start as soon as doggy arrives. Do nothing for dog. No feeding, no finding blankets or dishes or kennels, do nothing but pet dog and then go back to your crocheting. This won’t be your dog and you want it to know who to go to when it needs things.
Can you maybe find a basset rescue in your area? An adult hound should come house trained and with some manners. Plus, rescues usually want the critter back if it doesn’t work out.
I also agreed that he was a fox back in the day. Sadly, CHiPs isn’t something I can watch while stitching. I don’t really watch anything, I use the audio for background noise and use the screen to focus my eyes at a different distance every couple of stitches.
Listening to the dialog wasn’t fun (I had forgotten about the casual sexism and racism back then) but I kept focusing on the freeways because Dad helped build so many of them. Plus the cars and trucks and OMG the hair.
So, better to find some nice droning David Attenborough and glance up at butterflies or dinosaurs. I count better that way.
And…out of time, sorry for those who were missed.
I hope everyone had a great rest of their day, I’ve got stitching to do.
