The most tender Jack can be is muttering “I’m so sorry” over her dead body.
Not gay in the homosexual sense. Gay as in thirteen-year-olds telling their friend “Eww, you held hands with a girl? That’s so gay!”
Now I remember why I didn’t like any of the thirteen-year-olds when I was one.
Can’t spoil something one doesn’t know, though my guess is Terror Babewhose name I can’t be bothered to remember.
I thought it was “Central Asia”, which most commonly considered the ex Soviet -stans. Afghanistan, northern Pakistan and western China too, if you are loose with the definition. (See Wiki entry). The writers might be geographically misinformed to think that Chechnya is in Central Asia, but it’s in Europe, quite long, long way away from “Central Asia”
The biggest trouble with the episode is that “Central Asia” is, by practically any definition, landlocked, unless there are some massive canals between the Black Sea & and the Caspian that are big enough for ocean-going freighters.
I think her name is Mandy, and she can terrorize me anytime. Rawr. Damn it, I’m mad at myslf, because during the preview when we saw someone behind the bed, I had a good idea who i thought it might be, but now I forget who I was thinking of.
Perhaps a zombie Nina?
bouv, that’s the right name and I agree. Scarily, your second thought was my first thought too. But then I thought, not even 24 can go there, can it?
Another thought is that it is Kim. She is supposed to show up this season. Terror Babe wouldn’t be a revelation (“Her again?!”), but Daddy Bauer’s li’l girl would.
Yep, they were putting the stuff on a freighter bound for “Central Asia”. I guess the trick is to get a running start while you’re still out in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
Actually, you reminded me of who I thought it mgiht be.
Chase.
The clue? Jack said ‘Put your hands up’, and the shot cut out right before we saw any hands…because there would be only one!
Yeah, silly idea, but not outside the realm of possibility. It makes more sense for Chase to be there, since he was an actual agent, as oppossed to Kim, who was an actual stupid bitch. But is she actually suppossed to show up? I heard that about last season as well, but it was a no go.
Is there a site a list of characters for each day?
You mean other than HERE?
Imdb has listings of the guest stars in each episode.
You’re right. When I posted this morning, I couldn’t remember if it was Central or Southern, but I figured it had to be Southern because Central is landlocked.
But then again, Iowa has mountains in the 24 universe, so maybe you can get to Central Asia by ship.
So my friends were loud here and there and I might have missed it - did they ever bother to explain how the situation would be helped by framing Jack and killing Michelle/Tony/Chloe? It seems like doing in Palmer would’ve done just fine since he was the only one who seemed to be onto something.
No, you fool!
They were going to go by the Siberian Railroad, leading to an amazing train bound fight scene on the roof of the baggage compartment! But Walt had to ruin it :(.
If they wacked Tony, Michelle, & Chloe, then Jack would have no one who could vouch for him?
I got nothin’.
Yeah, D_Odds, that’s what I was thinking, too. A wrong place at the wrong time kind of thing…
I think the idea was that the attempts on Michelle/Tony/Chloe were to make it look more like Jack is the culprit – i.e. he’s trying to kill everybody who knows he’s alive.
BUT, why framing Jack was Walt’s best idea, rather than just some random guy shooting Palmer and disappearing… I don’t see how either one would automatically cast suspicion on Walt. So why it was necessary to frame Jack? Dunno.
If you’re a bad guy, your best move is to stay as far away from Jack as you can, and never even mention his name. Just call him You-Know-Who, if you have to.
Since the Iowa thing has been sorted out, I just want to state for the record that actually a good chunk of Ohio is pretty much Appalachia. (Not mountains, mind you, but pretty hilly.)
But Canada… well, maybe no one would notice if Ohio took over Ontario’s Lake Erie islands.
If David Palmer knew what was going down (of course, we don’t know HOW he knew) in a few hours, what was he doing editing his memoirs with his brother in that hotel suite?
Also, the talk about 24 universe geography is true. I don’t think the writers have ever been outside the city limits of Los Angeles. In any case, they seem incapable of thinking about anything happening outside of La La Land and when they try they get it all wrong.
