Because he wasn’t properly deferential to Logan. I’m guessing he knows who Logan is and he knows about that whole treason thing, and isn’t very respectful of Logan, and it sort of came out in his cold manner towards the ex-pres. Logan picked up on it and was offended. Did you not see the body language/ expressions between the two of them when Logan was getting out the car? Ice.
So where’s he going to take the chopper? Dana’s still at CTU, right? He’ll still have to get back there if he wants to interrogate Dana his way.

My memory ain’t what it used to be, but as soon as Logan said something to Taylor about working for the “Greater Good” it rang a bell. I think he repeatedly used that term to justify the nasty things he did when he was President.
Then when Taylor said to Jack that she had to continue with the peace process for the “Greater Good,” it was fairly chilling.
Jack, about 4 hours ago: “I don’t take orders from anybody except the President of the United States!!!”
Jack, now: (“Unless I don’t like those orders…”)
