30 days...it's back, baby!

FINALLY the third season! Starts June 3.

*30 Days, now in its third season, has been both a critical success and a favorite with cable viewers. TV Guide called the series “equal parts funny and sobering and a million times smarter than most other shows on TV.” And in its four-star review of the series, the Los Angeles Daily News called 30 Days “compelling human drama.” *

TiVo ahoy!

I have the first season on DVD (a present from my wife). Some of the episodes were better than others (I could have lived without the “Binge Drinking” one), but others were as good as TV gets. The born-again Christian living for 30 days as a Muslim looked like it had a significant impact on his life. And Morgan and his wife living on minimum wage was moving.

Last night, starting at 10, they had Minimum Wage, Immigration, and Off the Grid. “Off the Grid” wasn’t terrific, but the other two are real gems. Next Saturday, they have 3 more episodes starting at 10.

Great; I didn’t know that show was still on. The first season is available on DVD; but I guess, unlike a fictional series, it doesn’t really matter whether you see them in order.

Is “Off the Grid” the one where the city people lived in the commune and they had to have a “hall meeting” about hair products? Because that was hilarious. And they told the guy that if he wanted meat he could go and shoot it himself, and he was like, hell yeah! I loved that guy.

Where on earth are the season 2 DVDs? They’ve been saved in Netflix for ages but there’s never a date.

The third season got delayed because Morgan was filming Where In The World Is Osama Bin Laden, which I imagine was a large toll both on time, and emotionally for him.

Zofia, that’s what I want to know! We’re without cable, so we see our TV on DVD. I’ve been anxiously waiting for the second season.
