30 Rock 10-11-07

I wondered why they mentioned Stan Lee. I just realized that it was an L Ron Hubbard reference.

This episode was very special for me since it had the only TV insider joke that I will ever get. The only inside gossip that I have ever been told by someone who worked in TV was that Letterman would ask people to eat a steak while he watched.

I like that Tina scarfed the steak and blamed a dog.

And Jenna has a ‘Muffin Top’ now!

The difference is that 30 Rock is funny. And watchable.

Not everybody was a fan of that show.

I love Will Arnett’s willingness to show off his ridiculous bird legs. And Jenna eating the paper! Werewolf Bar mitzvah! Boys becoming men! Men becoming wolves! How Dr Spaceman is the doctor for EVERYTHING. You do the meth! I’m going to make your heart explode. I am wanting the foods! your back is like a barrel of snakes! I love you! Kenneth in the eye patch

My favorites are Griz and dot com. I dont know why I love them so much I just do. The party hats!

by the way…where is pete? And lutz and twofor? and cerie?

I think they’re coming. I read somewhere that Cerie especially will have a bigger role this season.

I’ll come over to your house. I’ll come over at night.

Everything Kenneth does is amazing. And hilarious.

D’oh!

Double d’oh!

And all because I don’t know how to do an umlaut. Grr.

I agree mostly. Except Tracy still makes me cringe. There is always some good stuff on the show, but enough bad stuff that it seems like a lot of work. If it weren’t on between other shows that I record I would pass on this.

I love that Dr. Spaceman has pictures of his celebrity patients on his office wall (confidentiality? what’s that?) and that two of the patients are ALF and the Unabomber. And Kenny Rogers.

L. Ron Hubbard was a (way cheesy) sci-fi writer before he was a cult-inventor.

Does Letterman do that because of his heart problems (like Jack Donaghy), or is it just random weirdness? I used to know the mother of one of his longtime employees, and she never mentioned anything like that, but this was back in his NBC days.

I think I was told this after he had had the heart problems, about 5 or 6 years ago.
