No way, man! Not even!

Totally! Did you not see that look that Jack had on his face when he and Dennis were talking in wardrobe about Liz? Jack is in love with her and he doesn’t even realize it. They’re going to have two highly capable and ever-so-slightly neurotic children – a boy and a girl – and their daughter will be the second female president (third party). Their son will be a highly successful businessman, and will one day take over Jack’s microwaves. And the path to the conception of those two children will be hilarious and endearing. Jack and Liz’s relationship will be both infuriating and invigorating, and after a short period of being really super-surprised, they will realize how absolutely perfect they are for each other.
It’s so totally going to happen. Don’t try to talk me out of this.
The sad thing is, I’ve had the Jack/Liz debate with my husband. He doesn’t even think they count as friends, I think Liz is going to wake up one day and realize she’s in love with him.
It gives us something to talk about now that Rock of Love 2 is over.
I think once someone has masqueraded as another person’s girlfriend at a party where said person’s ex-wife is in attendance, and in the course of the evening, that someone’s top is pulled down by said person’s ex-wife, they have a bond that goes beyond employer/employee. And when one of them calls the other one when the scent of waffles is in the air because he knows she worries about terrorism, and it might just be a Northrax attack . . well, obviously they like each other.
I hope Tracy officiates at the wedding.
No way. The relationship between Jack and Liz is patterned more after Mary Tyler Moore and Mr. Grant. And in my opinion, has about as much chance of being consummated.
Oh, that relationship was consummated, many, many times. Just not on air. Most likely in the cloak room or in cheap hotels just outside of the city limits under assumed names. If the Internet had been invented back then there would have been lots of fan fic/pr0n written about this.
Have you tried “Beauty and the Geek?” We’re quite enjoying that.
Jack and Liz have a nicely complicated relationship - it doesn’t need to be simplified by them falling in love (or being in love).
