I haven’t seen all the nominated films or performances, so right now I’ve got most of my eggs in a Million Dollar basket–I’m a diehard Eastwood fan. I liked **The Aviator ** quite a bit too, though, so I may change some of my picks before the deadline.
Interesting that only one best picture nominee is also nominated for best score.
I’m in. This should be interesting because I can say that I haven’t seen a single one of these movies. Essentially I am equivalent to the chick in the office pool for the NCAA tournament that picks the teams based on cute mascots or good uniform color but can’t explain a pick and roll.
So, this will either be really ugly for me, or really ugly for all of you if I win.
Yay!! Who’d have thought I could ever win anything! I mean, just a humble gal from a trailer park…
It’s a shame, cos I was really rooting for Scorsese for Directing.
It was an honor just to have been nominated with you… I mean, not that I was actually nominated or anything, but … I came in 17th out of 20! Not bad, considering that I had only seen two of the movies! I consider it a triumph of the human spirit.
Woo hoo! I won the office pool! (with a perfect score!) Of course, they only did ten categories, and none of that pesky “best documentary short” or “best song” nonsense that tripped me up here.
Congratulations to LoganDear. The prize is a CD of Elmer Bernstein’s Oscar-nominated score to The Magnificent Seven, the music they played last night to get Hilary Swank to shut up (Bernstein was also among the honored departed in last night’s obit montage).
Go ahead and e-mail me your snail mail address and I’ll mail the prize out. Congrats again and thanks to everyone for playing!
