It was so remarkable how Nate denied the Cronos (sp.) offer. On the plane back, when David asked if tearing up the check was the right thing to do and Nate getting really upset…
That was great. Nate’s a fighter. He’s fighting that as much as he’s fighting the AVM, and I think that’s great.
As far as Brenda giving her client the handjob…that depressed me. I just feel sorry for Nate. She’s not loyal, and not for a second do I think of her as a writer. “Experimentation?!” This may just be my bias since I’m a writer, but I don’t go out and experiment to write. The point of it is to sort of bring it out from a mental well. Brenda’s not justified in her actions, and I hope she’ll find out about Nate’s AVM through a 3rd party so that it’ll reevaluate her.
I think the reason for Nate lying to David on the plane could be a set-up for David to casually ask how Brenda’s dealing with Nate’s AVM. Brenda will be shocked, she’ll discover that her potential husband may die, and it’ll throw her life completely around.
Also, whatever happened to that business guy that Brenda met at the bar? In this episode he wasn’t alluded to at all. I’m still expecting something to stem from that.
