You aren’t factoring in several things though. How many terrorist plots have been foiled with zero civilians killed? What’s the actual probability of a successful attack happening? How many of the attackers actually are or were refugees? In the US, we ALREADY take in immigrants every year…how many attacks do we have, annually, from terrorists? How many attacks come from immigrants or refugees? How many are from home grown assholes? Is the home grown asshole to foreign terrorist ratio high or low?
And so on. Basically, you are worried about how good your teeth look or how brown/yellow they get from smoking a carton of cigarettes a day along with a case of beer and a double cheese burger, large fries and trough sized soft drink for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
In fact, fascism describes the far left-wing of the political spectrum. Hitler’s party was the Social Democrats. At the far right is anarchy, then libertarianism, conservativism, middle of the road, and from there all the way left to the all-controlling government you people seem to revere. You might like Cuba, or even North Korea.
Hitler’s party was the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (a.k.a. the Nazi party), not Social Democrats, and it was definitely not left wing, though it had some socialist aspects. But they were directly opposed to left wing parties, including Communist. Your dissection here of the political spectrum pretty much shows you don’t understand even the basics.
Look, Ren, get this straight: American LW mass media are pretty much limited to a few overtly political magazines such as The Nation, Mother Jones, In These Times, The Progressive, and radio outlets like Pacifica and Democracy Now!
As for news networks and broad-circulation daily newspapers, we have extreme-RW outlets like Fox News and The Washington Times and The New York Post and The Wall Street Journal editorial page; and we have centrist outlets such as CNN and The New York Times and The Washington Post; and . . . that’s pretty much it. Not even more-or-leftist MSNBC is by any stretch a LW analogue of Fox.
