I am using Windows XP Home on Bellsouth.net as my ISP, and lately I have been having problems posting on basic.bs. webusenet.com as well as Free Forte which a friend on my NG told me to download.
The problem with BellSouth is that the posts aren’t refreshing. It’s now 1:59 in the afternoon and the last post available for reading is 11:54 am. I keep hitting “get new headers”, but nothing happens. Also there’s a whole patch of headers that are missing from 8-9 am. I know this because I go to newzbot.com and check for new posts in my NG, and those always show up right after they are sent.
The Problem with Forte is the subject above. It won’t let me post at all.
Can anyone shed any light on this for me? I’m about at the end of my tether, and I’m getting little or no support from BellSouth techies.
