Well lady, way to, among other things, fuck up your career for life.
<shudder>
When I opened the link, an advertisement with a big picture of Michael Jackson popped up next to it. Hell of a coincidence. It’s a mad, mad, mad, mad, mad, mad world…
You would have had a better response to this thread if it had been an 11-year-old girl.
*"Flannigan had developed a close relationship with the boy and his family after he took her music class, inviting him and two younger brothers to sleep over at her Boca Raton home.
The stepmother of the boy, now 13, asked Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office to investigate after finding sexually suggestive text messages on his cell phone Tuesday."*
This is just terrible. I for one am shocked.
I mean, who gives their 12 year-old son a cell phone?
“11-year-old Boy Lives Out Popular Pubescent Fantasy. Film at 11.”
It seems like a lot of people have a hard time taking the potential for women to be child predators seriously. I must admit that when I first overheard bits and pieces of a report about this on the local news, my initial assumption was that the teacher was a man, because I’m so used to hearing about male pedophiles.
Creepy and sad situation regardless of the genders involved.
It’s been a while since I was a pubescent boy, so I may be wrong, but I don’t think anyone younger than 20 (and probably older than that) is going to want to get it on with a woman who’s half a century old.
This woman is sick, demented and twisted! Anyone her age who would have sexual feeling for an 11-year-old would have to be. I hope she gets a nice, long sentence out of this!
Shoulda added: Exceptions can, of course, be made on a case-by-case basis, but I doubt this woman is another Raquel Welch.
I always have had a weakness for painfully young men, but this is just…ew.
Does this remind anyone else of Mary Kay Letourneau?
At least this lady in the latest story is too old to get pregnant. (Is that a good thing?)
Yeah, if this were a “Male teacher - young girl” story there would be no jokes. Why is that?
I blame Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft.
Other than that, I got nothing.
I’m 49 (for a few more days) and I can’t imagine looking at middle school boys with lust. * ick ick ick ick ick*
I admit, I like younger men - my husband is 3 whole years younger  - but even if I was free to date, I’d be very reluctant to consider someone under 35 at the outside!
What the hell was going through her head??
I’m 25 and the idea of having a romantic relationship with anyone younger than say, oh, 21 (and even THAT is stretching it!) icks me out.
Or male teacher - young boy. That would surely be used an example of why homosexuals shouldn’t be teachers, Scout leaders or Big Brothers. So where’s the outcry that women can’t be trusted with children?
Why isn’t Pat Robertson denouncing that evil and lascivious demon called “text messaging” the Devil has placed in our children’s pockets?
If this was a “male teacher - young boy” story you’d be seeing posts like the following hypothetical amalgamation:
I think it stems from the notion that young boys aren’t “victims” in relationships with older women, because well…lets face it, they’re horny dogs. And his role would would be an active one in a sexual relationship, as opposed to passive “receiver” in the case of young girls and older men, or young boys and older men.
But 11… yea, thats some depravity right there on the woman’s part.
