Well Dopers, it’s about that time again! What do you say to another shot glass exchange?

Here’s how it works (for those not in-the-know): Everyone signs up, I jumble the names up, and we exchange a shot glass. If you feel the urge to accompany the shot glass with any other goodies, all the better.

The rules:

Since we’re no longer pay-to-post, I’m going to open it to everyone. Send an email to sdmbshotglassexchange@gmail.com and be sure to include your real name and address, screen name, and whether or not you’re willing to ship out of the US.

A shot glass has been defined in the past threads as anything in which a shooter can be made. Can be a single or double shot glass, whichever you feel like sending.

In the past, there are always one or two people that sign up and then drop off of the face of the planet, so PLEASE, don’t sign up if you are going to be too busy to send your shot glass.

I’ll arbitrarily set the end date for June 8th, and have the emails sent out by June 9th (Tuesday). I’ll post in this thread when the exchange is closed, but I’m pretty easy to accept last minute participants.

Finally, thanks to the mods ( Marley 23 and Cajun Man) for allowing this exchange to take place. Thanks also to Buttonjockey who started this exchange a few years ago.

Email sent, and I’m willing to ship overseas. I got a pair of glasses last year, really cool, from a Big Cat Rescue group. I use them often!

No, since we have gone back to being a free message board, it’s open to everybody.

One bump to get through the week, then it’s on its own. We’ll do it with just the handfull of us this year if there isn’t a huge interest.

Don’t know how I’ve missed the previous threads on this but sounds cool. A good way to expand my collection.

So what’s the idea with choosing one to send? I’m curious if you were drawn with me, would you rather a kitchy Aussie shotglass with something like a kangaroo or koala motif? Or something a bit more regular?

It’s whatever you feel like sending. I usually send one from my area, but sending a glass you’ve picked up on vacation is just as fine. So long as it’s not a clear vessel, I think the recipient will be pleased.

Having participated in this kind of thread before (and been burned), I also have to say that you should also participate if you are ok with the fact that you might not get a shot glass in return. People will flake, guaranteed. But listen to feppytweed and have fun!
