I received your gift. It was wonderful. It’s a beautiful shot glass and all the extras are great. I get a real kick out of the coasters. I’ve lived in California in the past (Monterey) and I miss it.
The only thing: I really hope you enjoy the glass I sent, but your gift has put me to shame and I feel I must make amends.
My only excuse was that life got in the way and the exchange slipped my mind. I was home this week sick and tripped across the (by now old) email. Ill and in a rush, I just sent off the glass as a chore rather than in the spirit of this exchange. I received your generous package the next day.

Skara_Brae just gave me an absolute GORGEOUS shot glass from her hometown of San Diego!!! It is by far one of the most beautiful shot glasses ever. It has a panoramic of SD in a light blue color with an orca jumping out of the water superimposed over everything. Then the words “San Diego” are etched into the glass in thick black letters Thanks so much for the glass, and the little mints that came with it!
The wait was MORE than worth it!! It made my day so much, and it also made my roommate jealous…so jealous that he wants me to tell him about the next exchange we have so that he can join and play too!!!
I finally managed to find a nifty shotglass and was even more impressed with finding a post office (whoda thunk they’d put it in the grocery store) - so one glass is now about to fly across the Atlantic!
I’ll send a follow up email tonight to check and see if anyone forgot or is being held up. Hopefully most of the participants have just received their glasses and not posted about them yet.
To be honest I was a little disappointed in what I was able to find. You’d think with Australia having such a large tourist industry there would have been a good selection of pretty cool shotglasses.
Very remiss of me not to pop back in and report my receipt of the beautiful glasses you sent my way Kalypso. I actually got them about 3 weeks back, but my excuse is I’ve been recovering from surgery for the last 2 weeks.
