Since when does Rand Paul want to shrink government? We are talking about the guy who wants to nationalize the precious metals industry, are we not?
Nah, it has an easy answer. He let the Seals kill Obama Bin Laden even though he promptly took undeserved credit for it.
He took credit for making the final decision. Which could have been diasasterous if anything went wrong or Bin Laden wasn’t there.
He gave the SEALs all the credit for the actual execution of the mission.
They’re cranks, but they’re honest cranks.
Obama Bin Laden
Then why have Republican presidents consistently been the worst contributors to the federal debt from 1945 forward?
I wasn’t saying what I thought, I was parroting a potential GOP candidate answer to the question. Reality has little or nothing to do with it.
Would not be at all surprised to read that on the Fox News crawl.
Of course, likable != good POTUS. Reagan was likable. JFK was likable. If you approve of the performance in office of one of those, you probably disapprove of the other’s.
[shrug] Like it or not, the base to which the Pubs are pandering is part of our democratic society, and has as much right as the reality-based community to have its views aired.
…Obama bin Laden (D)…
Seal Team Six (R)
Sure they can say it with a straight face. They believe it.
Where are you getting that from? The way I read those polls is people are saying “anyone but Hillary”. And these are significant states, like Colorado, Florida, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Polls may mean nothing now, but tack on that she inspires nobody and has a major dishonesty aura, and it shapes up to be the Jimmy Young of Presidential politics. The likes of which we haven’t seen since Bryan.
Generic Candidate always does well in polls, no matter the party or opponent. Every member of Party X, when they hear of Generic X, thinks of someone whose views align perfectly with their own. No actual candidate with actual views and foibles can ever match that.
