$5+.50 hold'em tourney at PokerRoom and Hollywood for Dopers Tues night

Only 4 of us played in last week’s Friday tourney. I started a new thread since the title and early posts in my other thread are irrelevant now. Let’s see if more people can participate in a Tuesday evening private tourney for Dopers only.

Here are the tourney specs:
no limit holdem
ten players to a table
buy-in $5+.50
maximum players 50
minimum players 2
blind level speed normal
payout structure normal
no rebuys
password is DOPE
starting time is 9pm EST February 7th (Tuesday night)
tourney is titled “JackShidt’s” (by default) since JackShidt is my PokerRoom username.

Please register BEFORE 9pm EST or else you will be locked out. This tournament is scheduled and software is not going to wait around for X number of people to show up like in a “Sit ‘n’ Go” tourney. Again, all Dopers are welcome. You can use either PokerRoom or Hollywood Poker software to participate.

I finished last among the 4 of us on Friday when MissTake hit her flush after I pushed my pair of aces…my fortunes can only get better from here on :slight_smile: .

To find the tournament, click on ‘Tournaments’ at the top right, then click the ‘Private’ tab, and the tourney will be listed as “JackShidt’s” under the ‘scheduled’ tab.

in PokerRoom, you first need to click “Play Now” or “Play OnLine”, you will then get a new window in which you click “tournaments” etc

Good point, but let me clarify. This is true only if you are playing directly on the PokerRoom.com website (no download required / friendly for Mac users). However, it is not true if playing on the downloaded PokerRoom software.

Is this a good idea? Should the Reader be promoting gambling? Freeroll is one thing but actually putting money up is another.

I finally funded my Pokerroom account tonight, so I should be able to play. 9:00 eastern is just a bit early. 10:00 would be good for me, but even 9:30 would work.
