Hmmm…I might join you crazy kids with your poker. I’ve beebn playing a lot mroe lately (and have gotten a lot better) so I have a cahnce…to not compeltly humiliate myself when I lose.
Of course, now I have to register myself on a second online poker place…oh well, the place I’m at now isn’t all that great, and besides that, I can’t make a deposit with my debit card or a direct deposit from my checking account, only my CC works, which I am trying not to use till I pay it off. At least I can withdraw into my checking account…don’t know why it goes one way but not the other.
Well I play on PacificPoker, so I’ll still have to make an account. But like I said, PacificPoker isn’t all that great so if PokerRoom is any better I’ll stick with it.
Currently checking the tournament rooms at PokerRoom, no sight of “JackShidt’s”. Is it under a different title, or does the room not show up until closer to game time?
I’ll get in on this, if I’m home early enough tonight to go through NeTeller or one of the other online money places; when I set up my Hollywood account, it didn’t like any of my credit or debit cards.
You know, it seems PokerRoom is dedicated to NOT letting me register. First off, it took about ten requests for my activation code to be sent before it finally was. Secondly (and currently) it won’t let me register my account info because they seem to know where I live better than I do. It says their records indicate I don’t reside in the country I specified. I live in the US, I selected the US, all my other info (zip code and phone #) are right, so what the Hell?
Are you using the 5 digit or 9 digit zip code? Most sites do not like 9 digit codes. Was you neighborhood recently given a new zip code? PokerRoom may not know of its existance. Do you share your zip code with a town of a different name? try tellin PR you live in that other town.
If all that fails, have you tried registering with Hollywood Poker?
Using five digit (I have not once even known any of my nin-digit zipcodes.) And no, we don’t share it with any other town. And even if we did…it would still be another town in the US!
Hmm…actually, there is one sort of discrepency. My phone number has an area code for another state because it’s a cell phone I got in college still under contract. But again, why would their records indicate I live in another country?
OK, I am signed up with hollywood poker, yet I can’t deposit money. Hollywood poker tells me my IP does not correspond with my country, which I guess was the problem with PokerRoom.
WHAT. THE. FUCK?
I have a cable internet account with Time Warner out of Syracuse. Granted, I live close to Canada, but I fail to see how that would have any effect. Damn it. And I’m not signing up for one of those random money transfer services, like NetTeller or whatever they have. Why don’t any online poker places accept PayPal?
Neteller allows you to transfer money directly in and out of a checking account with no fee assuming you use Instacash option directly on the poker site for deposits and the EFT option on the Neteller site for withdrawals. Once you have your Neteller account set up, go back to the poker site and use the Instacash option.
Be sure if you’re using Hollywood that you enter in a deposit bonus code.
