There has to be a reason this thread has so many views. No offense to the OP, but it’s a thread about leg shaking for heaven’s sake. Is it something that everyone wants to read about but not comment on? Was it featured in Threadspotting and would that generate so many hits? Was it linked to on Reddit or another social-news site? What gives?
How exactly did you notice a thread whose most recent post was almost a full year ago?
Also, my first thought is that it somehow has a good combination of keywords that spambots find or make it show up frequently in Google searches and when it does someone visits the thread and voila, extra view.
I sorted IMHO by views, looking for interesting threads. There were others with few replies and an absurd number of views.
Could it be from people searching on Restless Leg Syndrome on Google, looking and realizing its not relevant?
I’d agree with IvoryTowerDenizen.
Well, you can go ahead and add one more to the view count.
Just for curiosity’s sake, start a thread on boob shaking, and see how many hits it gets.
That’s just great; now they’ll end up in this thread.
Predictably, many of the low replies/high views threads in IMHO are sex-related. But the link below has 37 replies and 27,000+ views and it’s about suit jacket pockets:
This makes me want to start a thread just full of keywords and phrases to see how high we can get the post count from people stumbling upon it during Google searches.
Popular medical terms and conditions would be a good place to start, right after mentioning boobs and women’s underwear.
Well, ATMB is the place for test threads…
I think that in general it means the thread title was a whole lot more interesting than the content.
