I was expecting Anne Hathaway to wear something so much better than that. It’s like a shiny pink smock. Disappointing.
I would have given all that I have and more to see them Jaws Anne Hathaway off the stage.
But it would have been totally awesome to hear that music while she made her tearful tribute to all the Fantines of the world.
One of the only locks of the night was Hathaway and she did win. I actually think she deserved it. She was amazing in that movie.

Huh? It was an example of what current game technology looks like. It looked like what was state-of-the-art when I was active in CG a decade ago.

That was a strong list. I didn’t see The Sessions. But, the actresses in all of the other films were amazing. I can’t imagine disagreeing with any one of them winning.
Meh. He resented being so famous for that role, but he got over it after a few years.
Well, I suppose they could hold it until the next Oscars after each nominee has gotten a chance to be nominated again and use the count in that year to retroactively award it this year. But a fight to the death with the orchestra playing the music from Star Trek seems so much more audience friendly.
I know this is relatively old news, but really, WTF with the orchestra being off-site? Does the Dolby Theater not have an orchestra pit?
I’ve got nothing against Anne Hathaway (I don’t really care how many speeches she makes and how goofy they may or may not be), but I would have preferred Helen Hunt or Amy Adams.
I wonder if why this whole thing has sounded badly mixed to me tonight. Or is it just ABC being lousy at its job?

For serious. That is the largest WTF of the evening for me, bigger than how you can have a tie, or how Seth McDouchelan managed to score this gig.
With the high price of movie tickets, you’d think they could afford to build a theater with room for the orchestra.

Just saying, the fur didn’t looked baked or mapped to me (along with other rendering aspects), and the animation was rather nuanced for real time digital puppetry.
Not saying I’m right, just my in-the-biz opinion.
