Does anybody know where I can find the official count of firemen who died on September 11? Or know what the number is?
I would like to find the same information for police.
Of course, that does not include any active military personnel, firefighters, etc. who died in the Pentagon.

I don’t think any firemen or policemen died in the Pentagon. A lot of firemen and policemen died in the World Trade Center because there was enough time between the planes hitting the buildings and the collapsing of the buildings for the firemen and policemen to get there, enter the buildings, and then be killed when the buildings collapsed. On the other hand, in the Pentagon, no rescuers were killed. Only those already in the building at the time of the plane crash were killed.
There were 2823 people killed in the World Trade Center, so 403/2823 = 14.3% of those killed were rescuers.
