9/18 CSI - How'd it end?

I got up to the part where the William Peterson character concluded that the two homicides (stiletto/foam guy and decomposing/needle tip guy) were related, probably from a similar insulin injection, and that they were both gigolos.

But then my wife taped While You Were Out over the ending! How’d it go? The only suspect (rather dubiously) was Elizabeth-Showgirls-Berkeley, who I last saw in the episode in that Basic Instinctish interrogation.

Also, what happened to Marg Helgenberger’s husband? Last I saw, they were extracting the car from the (manmade) river bed, but she wasn’t on the case.

Did this episode conclude, or was it the season finale that cliffhung 'til next week’s premiere?
It was revealed that Lady Heather was a Type 1 diabetic and that her injector, a hypospray, was the murder weapons, and she was brought in for questioning. Later, however, the woman whose husband wanted her to be a submissive was strangled in her home. They found feathers in the wound and realized that all the murders had been committed by the red-headed professional submissive, the one who asked Lady Heather permission to leave earlier. She had stolen Lady Heather’s hypospray to murder the gigolos, and murdered the wife, because she was trying to impress the husband. Liz Berkley had nothing to do with it - the dude was dead, or close to it, before she stepped on his neck. Regrettably, Lady Heather’s being suspected seems to have hurt Gill’s chances with her. He tried to apologize but she was seriously pissed. You may have missed the part where Gill, we believe, spent the night with her.

Eddie (Helgenberger’s husband) was found dead in the sewers. He was shot before he got into the car. Either the redheaded chick or her drug dealer did it, but they had no way of knowing which was it was, so they went for reduced charges against both.
Wow, looks like there was one fairly important character that completely flew below my radar (not to mention a couple other incidents at least!). Still, thanks!
