When I was in corporate America, working at a Fortune 100 company, I got 4 weeks of vacation (everyone employed for 10+ years got 4 weeks). You don’t get even 2 1/2 weeks?
We just had a political revolution back in November. That’s what voting is, we have a revolution every couple of years. It works much better than having to have a civil war.

I’m not a golfer, but a good friend is. He’s quite disdainful of how Loser Don drives his golf cart onto the greens. Apparently, this just isn’t done.
I suspect that if he golfed somewhere else they might question him driving on the greens. Even if it is a DOD course and he’s CiC.
After my friend said that about Loser Don’s golf cart issues, I wondered if the WH physician didn’t suggest that he play fewer holes but walk between holes. Even with a caddy carrying his clubs, it would be better exercise for someone who clearly needs it.

To be fair, golf is a much more dangerous game for a guy that can’t tell his own ass from a hole in the ground.
Because you are putting on the greens, they are ideally a smooth surface-- almost like a pool table. That is why you are supposed to repair your divots and not bang up the greens. Driving a golf cart on the greens is more than just “not done”. It’s like what you’d have the crazy doofus in a movie do. It ruins the course.
There are some crazy etiquette rules in golf, and of course pro golfers don’t use carts anyway, but when everyday golfers are out on the course, you shouldn’t be doing things that ruin the course for other players.
None of you have hit on the real reason to be upset, as far as I can tell.
It’s that the job is in such a mess that the president has a ton of work to do. And, instead, he’s constantly taking these vacations and stuff. And now, after all those vacations, he’s taking another one.
Of course, this is Trump, so him leaving is actually good for the country, as the sane people can hopefully do things while he’s gone. I want Trump on permanent vacation.

However, it is a very important and wearing job. I can’t see his working hard and playing hard is a problem, and nearly all presidents play golf a lot for some reason. Hillary might have been an exception had she not lost, but Bill used to play with Donald.
Every day he wakes up and realises he can do wonderful things to improve the lives of millions and millions of Americans. That’s got to be a strain.
And, to be fair, 17 days is not a lot of vacation in Europe, Austria say has 22 paid vacation days plus 13 paid holidays a year. Americans have chosen a different path and therefore have the highest living standards in return.
