A cat! I have a cat!

My wife and I have adopted a beautiful cat. His name is Ghost. He’s 6-7 months old, and already freakin’ huge!

You sure that’s a house cat? Looks more like a small snow leopard!

nice looking kitty

and huge!

Yeah, either it is older than 6 months or one day it will devour you in your sleep.

As opposed to after we die on the couch, like the rest of us mad cat people. :stuck_out_tongue:

I like the picture where the kitty is peeping out from under the spread! He’s beautiful.

That’s terrific, Mr. Rik. Here’s to many good years with Ghost.

He’s beautiful! May you have many happy times together!

Here’s another of Ghost in one of his favorite spots. I like this one because the natural morning light from the window opposite meant no flash to cause redeye

So an old cat fancier died alone and his cats fed off his remains. Several neighbours sued his estate because their property values declined (a truly stupid case in which I represented the estate), and his own children sued the city for not looking in on him enough (another truly stupid case that I was not directly involved in). I figured the cats were the smartest of all of them.

Too cute. Way too cute.

He is gorgeous! And large. My cats Max, Tikva, and EC (and I) salute you!

I see a little Siamese. Does he have a voice?

He’s a colorpoint. That’s why he has blue eyes. He’s a Tabby colorpoint of some sort. Those colorpoints (paws especially) will probably get darker as he gets older. A white cat with blue eyes is usually deaf, but a colorpoint is usually born white, and blue eyes are natural (no deafness or other problems). Their colorpoints darken as they grow.

A “colorpoint” is basically anything that isn’t a traditional Siamese, but has Tabby stripes, or Tortioseshell patches, or something, on its points. I had a Tortie-point once. This guy looks like he is half Maine Coon, but I’ve never had a male Siamese/colorpoint. And there are longhair colorpoints. They used to be called Himalayans, but that was when they came only in traditional Siamese colors. Now they are called “longhair colorpoints.”

Boy, he’s a stunner! Congrats on your new overlord. Chipped, I hope?

That is one BIG cat. Especially for his age. He’s so cute, though!

What a gorgeous canine overlord!

Feline. But yeah. They’ll learn.

I took that to mean this cat is big enough to be overlord to a dog.

Maybe I’m wrong.

Instead of doing what I should be doing, I have been Googling images of Tabby colorpoints, and it seems to be typical for them to have almost white paws, and prominent stripes on their tails.

Seem to be a few big boys out there, but I would not be shocked if Ghost has a Maine Coon somewhere, in spite of the “Cherokee princess” thing about so many cats being part Maine Coon.
