A Chronicly Early MMP

I picked up my '66 MGB from the mechanic. It finally has one 12v battery instead of the original two 6v setup.

The mechanic has a '75 MGB with lots of new parts, that he’s going to offer for sale for $2,000.

There was a blue 1964 Triumph TR4 out front. I noticed it had a hole in front for a crank! The mechanic says the guy will probably want to sell it – cheap. It needs a rear end. I didn’t get a price though, because Mrs. L.A. drove buy and yelled at us. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh right, you’re in Georgia with a madman governor. Yes, stay inside and see what happens in three weeks.

PWAISDN is anticipating a line around the block when he’s able to get behind the chair again. At least most of his clients have figured out that he’s not going to illegally sneak out and do their hair before the restrictions are lifted.

Mine was a smaller school. I have no idea if they kept class rankings. I was classified as an attitude and discipline problem…

I did laundry, and I even folded my fitted sheet:dubious:(apparently it works better after a couple of beers) Today is National Beagle Day. Gordie is a Jack Russell Terror, but the late Nelly K. Beagle did bite him on his snout. so he’s a werebeagle.

Any recipe for Roasted Brussell Sprouts:
Set oven to 500 degrees
place sprouts in oven and roast for 12 hours.
Use the ash to fertilizer you garden

I graduated in '89. Math was easy in high school. Calculus is another beast.

I did stuff today. I bathed Buddy Boy. No small feat that. I made a grocery list for my foray out in the AM. Between 8 and 9 are senior hours and I don’t meet the age requirement but I shall go right on in. With my uncolored hair I am looking older. Depending how long this goes on I may just go natural. Still need a cut though.

I ordered masks from Etsy. One came quickly and the other two arrived today from Bulgaria. Need to check that if I ever order again. They are very nice and were packed nicely in a sealed cellophane bag but with a label stating they should be washed first. I got a plain white one and one with a blue subtle pattern that will work nicely as unisex masks. The other one has hens on it. MetalMouse there are lots of cloth masks on there for under $10 including shipping. Hubby has been using a fishing buff. My son ordered us a box from amazon and keeps having the delivery date changed. Those are surgical masks. We may or may not get them. I’m cool with the cloth ones.

I didn’t cook tonight so we just scrounged. Chocolate and coconut bread pudding with a guava sauce is dinner. It’s got bread and fruit. So healthy. We have plenty of food left but nothing either of us wanted to cook. I have a huge list for the store though.

I started watching John Adams on HBO. It’s gonna be good.

Happy almost weekend.

I have a 95n mask that came with some goggles Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) gave me for fragging coral.

I am 64 and graduated in 1974. :dubious:

Sure you want to admit to dawdling so much?

Feeling better this evening. I was sleepy all day. Not so bad now.

Our weather turned out not as stormy as forecast. So happy for that.

Man, I wish something decent to watch was on TV. I havn’t any good books to read. I’m going on Amazon and find some. I miss the library, though. Looking through stacks of books always makes me reading ready.

Have a good night, y’all.

I have one N-95 that is the most uncomfortable, panic producing, hot and itchy thing ever. I couldn’t wait to get it off me. I didn’t feel like I could breathe at all. The cloth ones are much more comfy. Only problem is my glasses fogging up while wearing one.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 64 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 74 with rain/tstorms/apocalypse predicted for later this mornin’ and through the day. We shall see. No matter cause we have no need or desire to leave da cave. Really nuttin’ planned for the day and that is fine by both of us. Netflix does need watchin’ after all! Sup shall be fried chikin, smashed N.O.T. 'n gravy, green beans, and bizkits just cause.

I read all but retained little. I do remember “New Math”. I caught on to it but thought it was stoopid. I did manage geometry and trig in high school. I am not real math smart but can do my sums and figgerin’ when I needed. Brussels Sprouts are, always have been, and always will be Satan’s veggie.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, onward into the day! Rah.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

We’re promised rain later today, but it’s already overcast and dreary. I have rice steaming right now - I plan to make stuffed cabbage later and it needs rice. I also have the ground beef out to thaw and the cabbage coming to room temp.

Today’s only other chore is laundering unders.

It occurred to me the other day that I have a bunch of cloth napkins that I’ve never used, so they’re going to be made into masks. I just need to print out the patterns. I may mess with that later, too.

So a relatively chill day, I think. I hope.

Happy Thursday!

Afternoon all!

It’s still freakishly N.O.S here, and I’m fighting the temptation to go sit and read in the sun for a bit. The flat badly needs defilthifying, and I have skool irk that really does need doing, but I suppose relaxing is also important…

I’m down to the final assignment then exams, so the end is in sight, but this last bit’s all got a bit complicated due to the scuppering of my initial plans. They did say that if I write up what I was planning on doing, as well as what I did do, then I shouldn’t lose out marks. I did put more work into it than anyone else in the class, and I would very much like a good grade, so I shouldn’t just bodge it now, but it’s hard to find the motivation right now.

Afternoon, mumpers! Happy St George’s Day, when apparently we don’t celebrate the life and times of our patron saint who wasn’t ours to start with…or something like that.

OW, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. I am slightly cheered by the fact they got to finally marry and had that time together. And I echo the sentiments that 2020 so far sucks mightily.

Yesterday we braved the supermarket, we’d intended to go mid-afternoon but I was sitting around waiting for an “absolute top priority more urgent than an urgent thing” job that had to go out yesterday. It involved emailing (individually) all our final year students with details of exactly what they need to do to graduate this summer. After way too much faffing about, generic text and specifics arrived around 4pm so I didn’t get finished until 6.30pm. Bit late for shopping but blokie was grumbling about it so we went. Supermarket wasn’t too busy, people still have no idea about distancing. On the plus side, bought rice and pasta (and a spare 9-pack of TP for the next coronageddon).

Since we can’t go to the pub any longer, we bought beers and had a pub night at home instead. Fun was had, and then it was back to irk today. The vastly important emails had all gone out by 10am, students are already emailing with queries which mostly seem to revolve around them failing to understand that the new emergency regulations mean we calculate their degree on the best marks for 80 credits rather than the full 120 they’d normally do. Today’s favourite questions is “Do I need to complete all the coursework for my 120 credits?”…err…which bit of “you only need to reach a threshold of 80 credits” is hard to understand?

I escaped the lunacy and went for a 40-minute walk round the park, listened to some music and had a pleasant conversation with a couple of geese who were also out for a wander on the grass.

Laundry is done and I’m about to mix up the filling for the stuffed cabbage. To the kitchen!!!

boo fae, no matter how many times and how simply you explain things, some folks won’t get it…I know, I’ve been on both sides. But glad the Uni is being smart about this.

Nut, just pick a time and get to what needs to be done…but it doesn’t have to be right away…

swampy, FCM, likewise cloudy here in N. Ali-bama and rain is due after 1pm, so I need to make myself presentable and get my errands run. 3 stops should do it, then back into the cocoon.

Butters, I’ll look into that if nothing shows up today.

Kidneys demanded attention at 3am, but stayed in the bed until past 7, so all is well in the sleep department. pay a bill, grab some groceries at Kroger, and check on some sheets I ordered at Denver Mattress and that should be all I need to do today.

All y’all take care.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. It’s starting to rain, with thunderstorms later today. Gordie has a bit of intestinal distress, but nothing serious enough to keep him from wanting to fight the maintenance golf cart.:smack:

Happy St. George’s Day, boofae and Nut! Perhaps I shall slay a Dragon in his honor.

That’s why they call them the wee hours.

Happy Thorsday!

It’s a bright sunshiny 54 degrees outside.

Lily came by for a visit this morning. I feel so bad for her, she never wants to leave. Of course my two don’t want her to leave, but they are worn out and sleeping for now.

Don’t know what all I am going to do today.
There’s always a mess of stuff to do, it’s the motivation that is lacking.

In about an hour I’ll head into town to pick up my taxes. On the way back I’ll pick up some low-carb bread, and drop off an old Moss Motors catalogue to my mechanic. At noon I’m attending a webinar.
