Ooh, pretty backpack!
I’m hungry! And, I just remember that I’ve got some leftover fried potatoes that I can have for breakfast. Yum!

Uh, remembered. Oops!
Swampy, DogBut, you two remind me of this Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler song.
I owe, I owe, it’s off to irk I go…
I’m working on forks today, but my hands needed a rest from all that dremeling.
Sore throat, achy, tired. Ick.
I prefer to call Florida America’s Wang. So which states are the balls?
Beats me, but the assholes are in Washington DC…
We need some frankensoupy for Soapy!:p:D
(Yes, I crack myself up. So sue me.)
Well, the interview went well I think. An hour and a half’s worth of well. I can talk counselin’ theory with the best of 'em I can! Plus there were two written questions afterwards which took me about 20 minutes.
Dindin tonight is leftovers from Sunday’s pigout. I brought home some ribs, bbq and brunswick stew. There’s some slaw to go with it and I’ll steam a couple ears of corn. Should be good! Also easy cause it’s pretty much nukulate and eat!
I’m back at work today. Fortunately, the day’s going fast.
Yay for a good interview, swampy. You don’t sound entirely thrilled with the job though.
It’s been too damn hot here, and it’s only been in the mid-80s but with yucky humidity. I’ve been in >100F in Las Vegas, and that isn’t as bad as 85 and humid here. But I’m still ready for it to be over. I’d still rather live somewhere that doesn’t get above 80 very often!
Only 3 days this week for me! We’re going home-ish from Fri-Mon to visit my friends who have new babies plus a bunch of other people. It’ll be fun if crazy busy with a lot of driving.
Good afternoon, y’all! Back at work: nice easy day so far. Just had to completely rewrite our QA metrics for a test project, then we’ll have a meeting with the guinea pigs - err, chosen group this afternoon. Otherwise, I’m writing DVDs. Not a bad day.
Those bitches!!! They stole Dipsey!
I went out for an hour or so. While I was gone, Dad said the doorbell rang over and over. (We told him not to answer the door, just in case they came by.) The front door was locked, the garage door was locked, the fence gate was locked, as well as the back door to the house. They would have had to jump the fence to get him. (We have a doggy door to the back yard.)
Last night the 72 hours of abandonment was up. That means he’s ours, but we don’t have any paperwork yet.
I called the sheriff’s department. I don’t know how this will play out, but I’m not going down without a fight. He has our collar on him, with our phone numbers. I hope they’re stupid enough to have left it on him when the cops get here.
Gah, I’m pissed!!!
We’ve actually been cool here lately, temps in the 70’s and 80’s, but then against the humidity is 90 to 100%. I think it’s supposed to dry up a little more so we can get back to the 90’s/feels like 100’s.
Was Dipsey chipped?
Go get em, Rebo! Keep us posted: I’m pulling for you! Have you contacted the person you filed the complaint with at the SPCA?
Get 'em Rebo! Dipsey needs to be at his real home, with y’all!
taxi it’d be a job. One I could do as I said in my sleep. Eh, a job’s a job.
So, what is “state VR”? :dubious:
I’m acronym challenged today.
Vocational Rehabilitation BBBobbio. I’m goin’ after bureaucrat this time!
I second the honorable delegate from Georgia!
The deputy was here. There wasn’t a witness to the trespassing, so we can’t press charges for that.
Basically, we can’t do anything unless we get him again. Then we call Animal Control, or take him to the SPCA again, and have them keep him for 72 hours. That’s the 72 hours they were talking about. Shit.
We can also petition the County Judge to let us own the dog, in a civil matter.
This sucks.
VBob, he does not have a chip from the other owners. We didn’t get him one yet. We should have done all this back when we had him for that long six week stretch.
