Corn on the cob is replacin’ N.O.T. on the menu tonight. I decided to go check out the produce stand down the road and he had just picked silver king corn. NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM!!!

Corn on the cob is one of those foods I can eat myself sick on. Now I really want to move in. 
Well, you’d just have you a barfathon at da cave then. When it’s in season it’s corn on the cob at least four times a week.
Plus, I always get a bunch to cut off the cob and freeze. I lurves me some fresh frozen corn in the dead of winter!

I bought corn from the farm stand around the corner. And peaches. So, steamed shrimp, corn on the cob (swoons) and peach crisp tonight.

I ended up making some yummy shrimp, boiled corn on the cob (which was a little sartchy to be honest), grilled veggies and a peach-blueberry buckle for [del]appetizer[/del] dessert.

Well, I guess calling it a Party Van is my own private joke. It’s actually an old heap of rust that my dad abandoned in the backyard for about a year and TVMan (my boyfriend) and I decided to resurrect it. We use it for flea markets, hamfests, and craft shows. When it’s running.

Got home from the grandparents’ yesterday. I didn’t get as much writing done as I wanted to, but got a good amount of worldbuilding done, so that’s good. Bought new sneakers, some nice shirts, and some jewelry.
I’m all worn out because I went to taijitsu after only having had one meal today.
It’s down to 83 now.

Congrats on the promotion, Dotty, it’s good that you found a few minutes in your busy schedule to come and tell us about it! Sorry to hear about HRH though, I bet that was an interesting conversation.
I picked up my car from the garage yesterday and am nearly £400 worse off, and that’s without there actually being anything wrong with it. Luckily the garage is starting a new service plan deal so I can pay a small amount every month and that will pay for the next three annual services plus it will give me 10% off any other unscheduled repair work. I have the details at home so I’ll have a look through it but it seems like a pretty good deal.
In other news, today is my Firday! Hurrah! I’m off to Antwerp tomorrow to look at the Tall Ships before the race starts on Monday so the city will be heaving but I think it will be a fun weekend. A couple of our friends are going on an organised trip with the social group we belong to, but we had opted to make our own way there. It turns out we spend a lot less time travelling (their coach picks up at 6am, my train leaves at 10am) and I am due to arrive in Antwerp before them, plus our trip is costing less then theirs! I will be getting the train from home down to London, then catching the Eurostar to Brussels, meeting 'im indoors there, and getting another train to Antwerp, then it’s just a short walk to our hotel. After that, it’ll be beer o’clock.
For some inexplicable reason, I am up.
Thanks to TVMan, I’m up. I got a new cellphone recently and it’s much smarter than me. I set my alarm for the correct time but the wrong day. DUH. Fortunately I’d asked him to make sure he saw me milling around by a certain time.
