A Creative MMP ...plus... It's Summer! A Garden Party MMP

We went and worked out and did stop by Del Taco on the way home. We didn’t have to stand in line, so I guess that was good.

Yeah, they’re alright, but I don’t get the big hype. I had the chicken soft taco combo. I liked how the meat tasted, but I must admit, the tacos certainly didn’t look impressive. So, I guess what I’m saying is the place will do in pinch. I happen to like the natural soft chicken taco at Taco Time much better. I’m not a big fan of Taco Bell at all.

I’m hoping the rest of the day will be a “chill” day. I may just take myself over to get a pedicure though. I dunno, we’ll see how I feel in a bit.

Taters, your reaction to Del Taco mirrors my reaction to Krispy Kreme. I don’t get it when people go nuts and line up when new one opens. They’re just not that good. Warm or not, they’re greasy and over-sweet. ick.

Still haven’t showered. Think I will now. Nobody imagine me showering, please - that’s just wrong.

:stuck_out_tongue:

OK, I’m all showered and clean and sweet.

That’s all. Just wanted to share.

I’m up from my nap and waiting for TVMan to wake up so I can show him my thread. It’s making me extremely nervous. :frowning:

I must have missed the original post in my skimming, but you said “Sheket, s’il vous plait” instead of singing “Sheket, b’vakasha! Hey!” the way we used to in UAHC camp?
eta I agree with you, FCM, and add that KK doesn’t have the variety, or the quality coffee, that DD has.

Followed by “sheket, b’vaka-hay, sha!”, of course!

abso-frakin’-lutely!

Which one did you go to?

Back. AI was ok–the one pic I wanted to see was no longer on display (don’t ask me the name of it or the artist–it’s by a Scandinavian painter, somewhat modern. It’s a landscape of a house through a woods, near a lake. But we did ask the right person, a guide who is from (probably) Estonia --thick accent–who said she knew exactly the painting we were talking about, the trees, they have lotta cracks on them, it remind me of Ibsen…)

But we saw a way cool photog exhibit, and had an ice cream in Millennium park and then the sky went dark, dark gray and we decided we’d better get the earlier train. So, it was ok. We are making a checkerboard cake now–except that it’ll be a marbled one because I don’t have the patience for making the checkerboard!

Off to catch up.

We are attempting to nail Nat into bed. So far, he’s winning.

I think I’ll take up drinking [DEL]more[/DEL].

I was in USY (NFTY or NELFTY region, something like that) in middle school- went to bunch of conventions- one in Toronto and one in Syracuse. I went to JCC camp from K-8th grade in Western NY, sleep away camp from 5-8th. Camp Lakeland was the sleep away one run by the Jewish Community Center of Greater Buffalo.

I still know when to pound the table during the Birkat Ha-mazon!

How about you?

and I know all the harmony parts - I even added one my first year at Barrington in Western MA.

And in my head, whenever I am anywhere where someone says “I have some announcements” I run thru that whole song as well.
“A horrbile way to die, a horrbile way to die, a horrbile way to talk to death, a horrbile way to die”

We also had the “NYFTY, WEFTY, PAFTY, SNEFTY” song to the tune of Tzena Tzena

zooming in

Mmm, big bad mean swampy ::drool::

zooming out

Oh My God! I had forgotten about that one!!! Too, too funny!!!

Hey NYFTY! I think that was us-- Western/Central NY and some Southern Ontario
I can’t remember the song/prayer but we changed it to this line:

“albaney, albaney, Rochester and Syracuse…” (albaney??? is the hebrew line, Albany was the implied substitute-- I can’t remember the prayer though…)

Seems I got donkeybear’s hormones in a tizzy.

We went to DQ. Ol’ y’all know who (that’s ACBG Lunch) had a large choco dipped cone. I had a hot fudge sundae. Urp!

That’s all I got for now.

I’ve just returned from a spa pedicure. Aaaaaahhhhhhhhh! Those are sooooooo nice. My toes are all purty and painted too. I wish there was a way they could take longer. I think I was there about an hour.

Hubby is talking about dinner. I’m still pretty full from lunch, but by the time I get the ribs cooked, I should be hungry. I’ve got some babyback ribs and I’ll make some sort of rub to go on them. Then I’ll throw them on the grill. I’ve got some zuchinni I can throw on the grill too, so we’ll have that with the ribs. That should be good. I don’t really want anything else. I know it seems incomplete, but hell we had fries today so we don’t really need another starch anyway.

Guess I’ll start on making that rub.

Taters y’all should have some tomatoes. Then again, I am privy to all the homegrown maters I want so that might not be an option. One of the wunnerful things about Summer is juicy red ripe homegrown mater. MMMMMMMMM…

I was just outside on the porch. I heard sump’n go thunk and there was this orange cat standin’ in the door between the porch and the deck. He saw me and took of cat outta hell. Obviously he had to leap up on the fence over into the neighbor’s yard but I swear I did not see him jump on the fence. Werid…

You’re absolutely right, Swampy, I need some good 'maters. Unfortunately, I don’t have any. It’s one of the things I miss about my old vegetable garden.

I had all kinds of varieties, plum, yellow, heirloom types, early girls, etc. Nothing beats the smell of a tomato you just picked off the vine. The taste is heavenly.

I should have just grown some in a container. I don’t know why I don’t do that.

And I saw it as ‘Ken, my cherry…’, prompting the Barbie remark. I’m still upset with the

::crickets::

it garnered

[QUOTE=VunderBob]

Sorry… in our defense it was the punchline to a joke from a previous MMP…

“Ken, my cherry”… now that’s funny!

Forgive us??

I know, snowbunny, I’ve actually been around here since (I think) '01 or '02 but the pay to play did help with troll control…

Well, the new stove is in and it all works but it seems so tiny! We’re going out to get a Papa Smurfy’s pizza to break it in because the BBQ chicken 'za is back, yay! Oh, and beer–really need beervages because it’s HOT!
