Today’s MMP is brought to you by the word “blurf.”
What does blurf mean to you? How has it changed your life?
How much blurf could a blurf blurf blurf if a blurf blurf could blurf blurf?
For this week only, I give everyone permission to type blurf as much as they want. Go ahead, go wild. Now’s your chance to get your blurfin’ blurf on and blurf all over the place.
I don’t need no steenkin’ permission to blurf! (coffee hasn’t kicked in yet, grumpy blurf comes as default until it has)
I has a splendid blurfing platypus embroidery on the wall, courtesy of last year’s Secret Santa, so I get blurfed at constantly.
Today, I shall mostly be sitting in, waiting for a phone interview. It will apparently be sometime between 1 and 5pm. I hope it’s not too late, as I’d like to go take some stuff to the charity shop and do washing before the evening.
I am at irk, it is irksome. People are not doing what they are supposed to do and it’s not helping me get my job finished. Break out the blurfin’ Sri Lankan spiders!
I went to bed early because I’ve been awakened early the last couple of days. Which means I was up even earlier today, dammit. But I’ve breakfasted, so there’s that. The cinnamon rolls are as good today as yesterday, altho I need to find a better recipe for the icing. This one is really bland.
Plans for today include laundry. **FCD **is going out on his bike for a while. I may mess in my studio. I may pull a few weeds. I may get to check on a crabber. Who knows - every day is a new adventure!
I got an email from my sister about a b-day gathering for my mother… in January! It’s not like it’s a big fancy party at a rental hall with a caterer, especially since Mom doesn’t want a big to-do. We’re just all supposed to meet at the bar where my youngest sis works. But apparently we need to save-the-date 5 months in advance.
Could be worse - this same sister wanted us all to take Mom to Poland for her birthday. Because when you’re an adult, there’s nothing you’d rather do with your vacation time than schlep around a foreign country with your siblings for a week. Fortunately, the planner and her husband have had employment issues, so they can’t afford it now, which saves the rest of us from telling her it’s a really bad idea.
Meanwhile, I’ve started my day by walking into an end table in an attempt to avoid walking on a cat. I shall soon have a glorious bruise on my right leg, right below where most of my shorts end. Envy me.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis a not to hyuuuuumid 75 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 94 and maybe rain. The weather PTB say that from Tuesday through most of the rest of the week there WILL be rain. We shall see.
Especially for $2.99…
BLURFBLURFBLURF!!!
Howzzat?
Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy says it wants to be fed. Then, alas and alack, 'tis Moanday so irk purtification must commene. Conference call today. Envy me.
Whazzat? I’m left handed so I do everything backwards. Also, I like tormenting autocorrect to see what it tries to come up with. I think it’s sick, as “Flurb it’s” makes absolutely no sense.
That funny noise you hearing is me, making plans to try escaping my cranium, as in being bored out of my skull. Looks like I need another spine surgery in a couple of weeks, and it will reset the “can’t drive” clock for another two weeks or so. The good thing is that it will be a minor “touch up” job.
I’m not actually blurfy today but I am a bit frustrated. I went to the doctor last week because I injured my right foot. I’ve done everything that he said to do and six days later it’s hurting worse than it was before. Because I don’t have health insurance I’m trying to figure out my next move. If I would have had insurance, his ability to diagnose would have been different (I could have gotten an x-ray to see if my foot is fractured) so for now I’m trying to decide what to do. My choices are live with it and hope it goes away or play the whole go to the emergency room and get bills out the wazoo game which even after applying for the hospital’s care program they’ll still be billing me for a year later. (Ask me how I know this happens.)
Ok, maybe I am blurfy. It’s possible that I may go to the emergency room to get x-rays considering that in a week I’m going to be standing all the time once school starts and I don’t imagine that’s going to feel very good. /whining
Blurf ain’t even the half of it… but it’s a dang good start.
Hey Spideyman, I remember you’re a car guy. The friend that had the 996 turbo brought over his GT3 for me to try out. No “blurf” there. I’ll let you know when the Hou Cron prints an article on the ‘garage’ where he keeps his cars. It’s a bunch of storage sheds behind a secure gate where gearheads can rent space, work on their cars and share a 60s style diner/clubhouse. We walked around and visited with other Porsche owners, Ferrari, Moto Guzzi, Harleys, 68’ Z28, GTO Judges, 67’ split window coupes, etc. Article covering all that on the way. I’ll let you know when. Pretty cool.
