A B-25, cool!
Three survivors? The three other guys bailed out? I think your earlier post mentioned that.
I don’t recall from Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo if the crew bailed or rode the plane down when it ran out of fuel.

Cool pics ruble!

Wow - awesome pics!

Canes win! And no goalies were harmed during the game.

“just before you draw your terminal breath…”

B-25J Cool.

Long day; physically, mentally, & emotionally, from highs to lows, & some in-betweens, multiple parts of which reached back 3+ decades. Finished it off with some domestically-purchased rye that I personally put into my checked luggage almost two years ago.

It has aged well.
I wish you & yours the same.

Distressing day at irk. Yeah, we do have serious attendance issues lately. Still, firing three in one day over it? On a team that’s already a bit understaffed due to one on leave, one suspended, and several recent voluntary quits and terms for NCNS?

I strongly suspect at least two more are on VERY thin ice for their (non)attendance. If I’m right about them, and if the girl on suspension doesn’t come back, I will be the only survivor of a 15-person training class that started in July. If I’m right, we also become an all-female team (our one remaining male team member is one of the “thin ice” people).

Nettie I hate work days like that. It might also be a sign for you to start looking, if you have the option. It doesn’t sound like a good environment.

I should. I need better pay anyway, and a shorter commute would be wonderful. Problem is that by the time I get home, I’ve been away over 12 hours, have taken 35+ phone calls of varying levels of tense, and am too used up for job-hunting. Weekends are too busy.

I feel trapped.

I know how you feel. Maybe start by posting your resume and getting some feelers out there. Then if anyone bites, you can schedule some “dentist appointments” and “car repairs” as needed to make interviews. First step is to see what’s out there though.

Heh, my “namesake” plays for the 'Canes. (We share the same first and last name, though not at all intentionally.)

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work for a long day.

Seabass?

I don’t know what **FCD **was dreaming, but about 3:30 this morning, he was punching the side of my pillow, and when I reached out to get him to roll over, he kicked me!!! I figure he was battling ninjas in his sleep. As a result, I’m dragging this morning.

But it’s one day closer to Firday, isn’t it?

Happy Wednesday <yawn>

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 66 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 87 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Rain is predicted for tomorrow evenin’ which would be nice to wash away some of the pollen. I feel decidedly better this mornin’. I guess sleepin’ all day practically with Ben was what I needed. Today’s big plans include laundry and the makeage of many chikin sallit sammiches for tonight’s soup 'n sammich at the church house. Also looks like I shall have to turn the a/c on this afternoon what with the predicted high and all. Oh well.

Ruble cool pics! Thanks for sharin’.

{{{Sunny}}} feel better. I use ol’ fashioned cussin’ a lot. People look at me funny when I do which is, of course, a bonus.

{{{Nettie}}} thus is life at a call center. Hope you can find a better gig before too long.

Spidey yay for bein’ sprung from PT!

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then I shall purtify and begin my day. OH, I need to go to the sto’ today as well. I shall do that first so as to get that out of the way. Grocery shoppin’ is one of my most detestable chores.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Years ago, a seamstress I hired to fit several pairs of pants for me advised doing my trouser-buying in stores advertising “Colombian clothing”. “You need to buy clothes from my homeland. You’re on the big side for us, not all stores will carry your size, but when they do, those will fit right.”

There are at least half a dozen Colombian clothing stores within fifteen minutes of my Barcelona flat. And a pair of brand-new, Colombian size 14 jeans on my ass which fit juuuuust fine  (and no, no pics).

Yeah – bailed. This wasn’t the Doolittle thing; just a normal later war operation.

Spent the morning walking over to one of the grocery stores and shopping for Passover food with Mrs. Bowser. Stopped on the way to the store to get a haircut. First haircut I’ve had since we moved to the city, and the guy did a bang-up job. Not bad for just over $8.

The handyman called, and isn’t coming tonight, so again we’re waiting on some cabinets for the kitchen and getting some light fixtures up and so on. This is the second night this week he’s postponed. If he wasn’t so good, I’d find someone else.

Howdy Y’all! I have been grocery shoppin’ and made chikin sallit sammiches. If’n 60 half sammiches ain’t enough I shall provide directions to the nearest Mickey D’s. Seriously, they won’t be the only sammiches there so I’m sure there will be more than enough. Sinuses are achy but no where near like yestiddy. Ben and me may have us a nap this afternoon just cause.

Bowser I understand re the handyman. Frustratin’ when they don’t show or cancel especially when you know the handyman (or woman) is a really good one. I got frustrated with my mom several years ago when the guy she wanted to remodel her kitchen and dinin’ room kept puttin’ her off. However, when he finally did get started, he finished in good time and his finished work looked and was great. Sometimes we just gotta deal. We get our haircuts for eight bucks as well. Well, ten bucks cause we always give her a twenty.

blurf I guess the appraisal went well. I had the place clean upstairs and hubby had his a/c factory all stuffed into the storage room. When she looked in that storage room he told her there was a gorilla in there, she laughed and did not even take a picture of the junky area. Of course, appraisals are based on comps in the area too. I do know we have a huge amount of equity so the loan should go through no problem. Plus as a bonus I got a clean house out of the deal.

Irk is another issue altogether. The accreditation team will be here in 4 weeks and the countdown has begun to document all we do and all the training we do and goals/ideas/processes/SOP’s and on and on. When that is over I am taking a vacation. I will take a week off and have a staycation as I have no desire to go anywhere.

We are quickly coming up on the end of the month which is a frenzy for a few days. All I want to do is sleep. Like Swampy i have been having the sinus issues and having to take vast amounts of antihistamines which make me sleepy.

Happy Hump day all.

I still have the funky throat. I am trying to talk very quietly, instead at a normal volume, and I can almost speak without croaking. Of course, if the dogs or kids can’t hear me, then I have a problem. Oh well.

Housecleaners come tomorrow, if I don’t put them off. I also must do grocery shopping. ‘Beamer has been nagging me and I am now out of half n’ half for my coffee! Some things I have to have.

Bowser sounds like your apartment was pretty much completely unfinished when you moved in, if you have to put cabinets in. Is it more like a condo that way? Do you own it?

Congrats on getting through the appraisal Butters. Good luck on the irk stuff.

Nappin’ with Ben has made me feel a whole lot better.
