My friend has an automotive related web site and would like a list of every auto mechanic shop in the US (It’s an auto mechanic review site). Would such a thing exist on the web? Buying it is not out of the question.
If he’s willing to purchase it, I would imagine a mass mailer could get him a list.
I should be a little more specific. He wants shop names and the street addresses, not email.
I’m sorry, I meant bulk mailer not mass mailer, they’ll sell you exactly what you want.
If you do a web search for “mailing lists” you’ll find companies that should be able to sell you what you need.

Keep in mind that he’ll need license to republish if he posts on his site.
If it’s for mailing, that could be a different fee…
These lists are “Licensed” not bought.
