This, with the spitting, really sounds like reflux. Reflux is painful but easily treatable. Please call your doctor.
The adult caring for the baby is well advised to get the baby away from the other adult for stretched of time. Getting our of the house with baby often calms the baby, too. Long walks in strollers FTW.
The stroller does seem to work quite well. Car rides too, but we haven’t yet graduated toward “it’s midnight, she’s screaming, chuck her in the car and drive around the block” yet.
Things are a bit better. Her constant screaming is much fewer and further between, and when she does finally sleep we can stretch it to a good 3.5 to 4 hours between feedings (especially at night). Her constant spitting up continues to happen though. It’s always a good two or three times directly after a feeding, and then another two times or so within the next few hours…sometimes more. Babies spit up, sure…but I’m thinking this might be a bit more than normal and like has been suggested, we’re getting into reflux territory.
BTW, thank you all for the encouraging phrases, too. No one wants to think they’re a “bad parent”. And even though I know deep down Mrs. Cups and I are doing the best we can and are taking care of her when she acts up…it’s still nice to just hear it from other people you know?
