I was in imho and a discussion about the word fag came up. Actually I used faggoty fairy to describe what I am not. It offended a few and I tried to argue that I’m bi, i feel like I’m allowed to say that about myself.
I feel as though it’s ok to use the word to describe someone and not try to use it as ammo and hurt another. For crying out loud, if you hang out with gay people long enough you’ll hear it said plenty. Especially,in my opinion, if they aren’t too busy trying to push their lifestyle into the public eye. Most gay people i know aren’t offened by the words faggoty fairy. Its simply aother way of saying I’m not a bottom I will punch you in the face. Or whatever.
I don’t believe its something to get bent out of shape about. I still compare it to blacks calling themselves niggers. If you offend another in the process, tough, deal with it.
