A Fill In MMP

Oh, except that I need to post again so I can be first on the next page.

Yay, made it!

Minneapolis has a statue of Mary Richards? Have we lost our minds? Does New Rochelle have the entire Petrie family, complete with duck? Jeebus. The Fonz was an idiot. Just my 2 cents.

I got some of the pics to work, and the others “may print badly” or some such–too bad, I ordered one anyway (for us). And The Husband? Huh-he’s on the list for not even coal now I told him I was having trouble with the sizing and he said, “You know, we went over this once before, I guess unsuccessfully.” (yeah–we went “over it” exactly 12 months ago. How many calendars does he think I up/download in a year?).  Grrrrrr.

Listen, pal–I’m the one who IS Christmas. I’ve got a list a mile long to accomplish by tomorrow this time. If I could trust you with this one stupid project, I would, but I can’t even do that, since you see where we end up: the eve of the Eve and I am having to do it. Bastard twittish moron from hell.

happy holidays, all! (need insane smiley here)

I’m off to buy HIS parents a stupid gift for a stupid holiday. Scrooge is in the building-to stay. Hmmmph.

yup

linky no worky.
Off to run errands in blustery windchill winds…

Try this link for Mary Richards statue. If you click on the picture you get to the link that rosie pasted in.

I’m home thinking about what order to do things in.

Eat lunch seems to be next on the list.

I’m not going anywhere, Mama T, but I seem to have lots to do today that will keep me away from the computer. Wanna come over to help?

Back after a bit.

yawn

I’m at work. So far, it’s quiet. I don’t mind that!

I do want to know what genius at my bank decided to put an outdoor ATM in. You’d think they could have sheltered it somehow, but no, I ended up damn near freezing my fingers off getting some cash this morning I needed to pay my roomie for the power bill.
(I couldn’t hit the buttons accurately with my gloves on. I don’t like gloves, though I need them now!) On the up side, I met an exceptionally happy black lab who was out for a walk and it’s so COLD! And ICY! And life is GOOD!

We’re supposed to get a few more inches of snow tomorrow. How perfect is that timing???

I was going to ask my roomie if he has any plans the next couple of days, but when I brought him the cash he was having a long phone conversation in Czech. I wish I spoke another language.

Good morning everyone. I was up at 6:00 this morning, but when I came downstairs I still felt really tired. So, I thought I’d lie down on the couch for 30 minutes or so. Yeah, I woke up again 9:00.

Rigsy, I hope things are better today.

I have a lot to do today. I’m not looking forward to fighting traffic, but soon I’ll have to get going. I was planning on getting up early and just going, but I was so damn tired. I’ll be glad when the holidays are over. I found out last night that two people aren’t coming for Christmas dinner after all. It doesn’t break my heart. My husband did invite one of his co-workers over. He doesn’t have family here, AND, he’s working that day. I don’t know if he’ll show up, but if he does, its alright. There’ll be plenty of food to share.

It’s rainy and gray here, again.

I guess I’ll cruise the Dope for a few minutes and then I should get my butt in gear.

Hey, hey!! What are you saying about me?! I am NOT dmb!!!111

doggio, I’ve never heard of that festival. So. . . is there pole dancing? :stuck_out_tongue:

::sigh:: I’m here. I didn’t abandon the Good Ship MMP! I just don’t have too much to say. Later today we’re going to go see TVMan’s grandson and TVParents.

I need (another) nap.

Good morning, everyone! So last night I gave Minister’s Lad a call, but he didn’t answer, so I shrugged and enjoyed a night in with my cats and a bunch of books from the library. But just as I’d washed and scrubbed and slipped into my pjs I got a call back informing me that they were heading over to my place. :dubious: Sure, guys, don’t mind me, come right on up. I think they were more after Cloud Maiden’s leftover weed than anything else.

I was planning on going to Mass today for the first time in freakin’ ages, but someone ended up staying over and we didn’t get up until well past 11. Ah well. I’ll go to the evening Mass.

alabasterbunny - Cloud Maiden, my roommate, speaks Portugese with her parents, while I speak Korean, which is why neither of us bother going into our rooms when our parents call. Both of us have managed to pick up the words for mom, dad, and hello from our respective phone conversations. Hey, it’s a start.

I am determined to be lazy today.

I’m all churchified and lunchified. I read the paper. Ol y’all know who is in West Alabammy now.

It’s cool and misting rain out. I think it’s time to get napified.

Later Y’all!

I have managed to take a shower, and am currently waiting for my hair to air dry just a little before assaulting it with a blow dryer and flat iron.

Then, it’ll be off to pick up the roast from the butcher shop, then off to the grocery store. I just remembered this morning that MIL had asked to bring a sweet potato casserole along with us for Christmas Eve. Sigh, yet another thing to cram into today and tomorrow. No biggie, usually she just asks us to bring some kind of dessert, but frankly, most of the time, she doesn’t ask us to bring anything. So, this is the least I can do, I guess.

Mr. Taters, came home with lottery scratch tickets awhile ago. They were ten bucks a piece, and we won $30.00 on the ticket I scratched off. He was inspired to purchase these because of my Dad. When my Dad came over a couple of nights ago, he had purchased one of these tickets on the way over. He won $500.00. My Dad is lucky that way. He’s always winning some kind of money.

I wish his good ju-ju would rub off on me!

I better get going.

Well, I guess we’re heading to TVParents’ house very soon because TVMan just put his shoes on. See y’all later!

HEE! If ol’ y’all know who sees me wearin’ shoes in the house the first thing he asks is if I’m goin’ somewhere. It’s a safe bet too cause the shoes come off when I get inside da cave or his place everytime.

I need to eat sump’n. Don’t know what though.

I’ve done laundry and figured out what we’re doing for Christmas. I knew little brother and I were going to spend part of Christmas with Local Best Friend (it would feel wrong if we didn’t; we’ve always spent Christmas together when we were both in Columbus). Just hadn’t ironed out the details.

So, this afternoon, we managed to call each other simultaneously. (We were roommates for almost 10 years and it still shows.) So, we’re going to celebrate on Christmas Eve because it works out better for her (she has a baby, so she gets first choice).

Little brother and I have figured out what the main dish will be on Christmas Day. I’m about to go get stuff to go on the side and some dessert.

Whap hubby one upside the head for us rigs. Weren’t we going to set him out on the curb last Wednesday???

Off to procure groceries.

Hugs all…

GT

I’m the same way Swampy. I’m not fond of shoes or socks. Safe bet is if I’m in my house, I have no socks on either. If I had my choice I would go barefoot all year round. I love being barefoot. I grew up in the country and used to go barefoot all summer long. My husband thinks I’m nuts because I hate wearing shoes and socks.

I do wear socks MCUNE. My favs to wear in da cave are slipper socks. I like the little grippy things on the bottoms of the socks. They keep me from slidin’ around on linoleum floors.

I’m with you, McUne. No shoes or socks ever, if I had my way! 'Cept right now I’m wearing socks, 'cuz it’s chilly out and I keep going back and forth to the BBQ. I’m making ribs! Yum! I love the South - grilling all year long! We are also having Ranch Style Beans and cole slaw. And french bread.

Today hubby and I went to Garden Ridge Pottery and bought some <gasp> fake plants! To go on top of the entertainment unit. The live ones we had up there weren’t doing so well, so we bought fake ivy. It looks great! And they were on sale! W00t! They had all the Christmas stuff on sale, so I also bought a $30 centerpiece for $7.50. It’s purty, even if it is fake. Oh, if you don’t know what Garden Ridge is, it’s a place where you can buy silk plants and stuff like that. And pots, and yard stuff like furniture and benches, and other decorating type stuff.

We also went to the grocery store (for the second time - I went earlier and spent <OMG> $200) to get eggnog and paprika. No, the paprika is not for the eggnog. I used up the last of the paprika in my rib rub, and I need it for later in the week when I will make - for the first time ever - Arroz con Pollo. I even bought saffron! That shit’s expensive, let me tell you. But it’s Christmas, and I can splurge if I want, right? Right! I knew you’d think so!

I have to go turn the ribs over, and put some sauce on. (You don’t add sauce until the last hour, dontcha know!)

Later, mumpers!

<Oh, here’s some extra exclamation points. !!! I didn’t use all mine. ;)>

After you put the sauce on, does Mr. Rebo get to lick it off?

Oh, my my my! You’re missing ABGD already, huh? (Are those the right initials? I can’t remember what they stand for right now.)

And the answer is yes, yes he does!
